Good God man... EIGHT defenders?? That's insanity, I don't see any reason to have any more than 5 or 6... That's the most I've ever done really and even that is a bit much to keep up with for most ppl. And differentiating between S's and CB's kinda sucks fr. CBs aren't that much better than DL's and S's are just so much more valuable.

Do 1 DL, 1 LB, 1 DB, and 2-3 D and call it a day imo....
 
Having twelve teams having to choose 2 CB's every week is going to just be a lot of dead spots I feel
 
nah corners are easy.....the worst corners are the best because they get picked on by a QB and they make a lot of tackles - more oppurtunities - the worst corners are the shutdown corners because the QB doesn't even throw his way

Safeties, it's good to have the Strong safety rather than the Free Safety - strong safety plays more like a Linebacker


and then LBs - well you want the LB that's on the field for all 3 downs - inside LBs - weakside and middle linebackers



if you guys can''t handle it, i'll switch it to team defense - i dont care anymore at this point
 
ive been doing this shit for a long time, and once you get used to this format of IDP how i have it setup, every person that's ever played in my leagues, eventually ends up admitting it's the funnest way to play and they never wanna play team defense again


so if you guys wanna keep crying about it, even tho we all had fun last year, then go right ahead


i dont need an assistant - im the boss - i make the rules - and you can still quit now before the draft :)

and then you wanna tell me how this is gonna work out when i already know because ive been doing it longer than all of you probably combined
 
hear me out - this isn't an experiment - this isn't something i just made up on the fly

this is something ive been running and managing for 20 years


i know exactly what im doing and you've never been in better hands than you are right now, having me as the commissioner



you have an offense to manage and you have a defense to manage - and it's a lot of fun - if you have questions along the way, i will help you

i thought cornerbacks would suck too until i actually did it - we can make it DBs again - but people tend to hoard the big safeties - how do i know? because of experience


so if any of you think i don't know how this works or how it all plays out, you're absolutely dreaming
 
it's either we do it the way i have it, or we go team defense, which id rather not do

Well damn, ain't gonna be getting no oh captain, my captain out of my ass lmao.

I trust your judgement though, so if you insist it'll be cool, I'll roll with it. Just seems like a lot, I'm not really bitchin honestly just voicing my thoughts.
 
Every negative and positive point in the scoring system has already been perfected

So has every position - and no position on offense or defense is more dominant than another - they all have their days as you'll see

It'll be fine - just play the game

in dust we trust
 
so keep in mind, in this league, that if your team scores above 200 points, you had a pretty good week - below 200, not too good

and if you're scoring below 200 on a frequent basis, you really need to work on your team

if you're scoring 250 on a frequent basis, you're playing very well
 
i also want to say, the way i have it, it's also very balanced between offense and defense - so you can have an average offense but a great defense and be one of the best teams in the league - same thing the other way around - good offense and a so-so defense and you have just as good of a team

so you need to know defensive players - yea it's a little more involved but it makes that part of the game far more interesting, especially when you're watching the games on tv - sometimes you need just one more tackle from a linebacker or safety to win a game on a monday night late in the 4th quarter.....or you get an INT or pass defensed from a corner
 
I'm glad it changed to Monday, because I'm going to the Hookahville festival next weekend. So now I can leave Sunday to be home Monday for the draft
