Some of you may have noticed that our lovely monstanoodle is hanging up his modstick and moving on to new and exciting things.. We're very sad to see him go and would like to thank him hugely for all his hard work here <3

This means that we are now on the look out for a shiny new mod amongst you wonderful people :) Form an orderly queue please!

Special mod-powers include closing threads, maintaining/creating megathreads, deleting posts, dealing with sourcing or other forbidden things, <snip>ing and hitting misbehavors with your modstick - but this is only a small part of it. Patience, diplomacy and dedication are all essential skills; trying to keep the atmosphere friendly and supportive (without stamping out all the fun) and catering to the wide range of people who call themselves EADDerz are very important.

For your hard work (it's not that hard, honest.. we let Sammy G do it after all ;)) you will be rewarded with a bigger PM box, a signature, a larger avatar file size, a bigger profile pic (hrmm I don't have one of these yet), access to the Best Modthread Ever and staff forums and a warm glow inside from helping others <3

If you..

  • Are harm-reduction focussed and have a decent degree of drugs-knowledge/experience (it's not ADD in here but HR is our primary aim, despite all the hilarity and social-stuff)
  • Are friendly and willing to engage with the other forum members
  • Can put aside enough time to mod - we'll be a team of 5 plus senior staff but it's handy if you can check in most days, have enough time to catch up with all the posts regularly and crack on with the mod-stuff I mentioned above along with regular posting
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • Want to help improve EADD and BL
  • Like cats
...then please answer these questions...

  • Why do you want to moderate EADD?
  • Do you have any relavent knowledge/experience (mod-wise or drug-wise or other-wise)?
  • How much time could you dedicate to modding?
  • Do you have any ideas for how to improve EADD or do you think it is perfect as it is?
  • Did you vote for cats or dogs in the poll?
...and PM your replies plus any other info you wish to include (nudie-pix and other bribes are recommended) to myself, kate, SamhainGrim, monstanoodle and Albion. You've probably got a week but am double checking that with the other mods and it may change :)

I was going to apply but then I just remembered I haven't been on the internet for a month and therefore in my role as King Stick might not be able to use my stick. Do you want to know the reason? My reason for my absence that is, not my inability to use my stick, most people already know that reason (freak bicycle accident if you didn't). Anyway yeah, okay, I'll tell you. It was a sunny day when I flew across the Atlantic and landed in Sacramento, Texas. It's a nice city, with a cool sea breeze and some cool buildings to look at like the Space Needle and Disneyland Paris. Anyway, me and Louisa were out and about, spending time walking from park to park and chomping on some lovely ice cream when it suddenly hit me. "Shit!" I said. It'd been three weeks, four days, 9 hours, 37 minutes and an unknown amount of seconds since I'd left work claiming I needed to pick my children up from school because they were disturbing the classroom. Needless to say, I caught a flight back the next day and turned up to work this morning in what can only be described as a really suave Italian suit. I have a meeting tomorrow morning with my senior exec to discuss my AWOL, apparently he didn't believe that my car had broken down and the body fat % of my daughter and son were so great (233%) that to carry both at the same time would have caused unheard of tension on my already weak back, and so I had to carry their huge frames over 50 miles one after the other. It seemed probable to me, especially if you'd seen Rebecca - even Michael Jackson wouldn't want to fuck her. He'd probably want to poke Luke though, Luke is cute.

Anyway, that's my story. Please also consider this as my application to the post of moderator manager. As you can see I'm very good with people, but I also have references if required from my various career roles which have stemmed from a junior accountant at my local school to sitting on the board of directors of Enron. For an interview please PM me and we can set up a face to face meeting at a five star hotel at your expense.

As for modding, I am spending very little time doing anything productive so I will submit me application later this evening :)

I could make use of that larger avatar size actually! I couldn't get my latest .gif compressed enough to work :sus:

he looks perfect btw. and he goes well with the kitchen colour scheme as an added bonus

He's mine<3 and he is just trying to show his disapproval of the feline clause ..............look into his eyes not around the eyes look into his eyes......your back in the room...now don't forget to post that cash;)

@ Marmz, I do love my dog, he's such a character, mad as a box of frogs but gentle as a flower a bit like a highly strung race horse in some ways, I'll probably get an infraction for derailing the thread with my dog talk =D

I think the reason he's so appealing is that he looks part Wookie ... can't help but instantly feel affection for a Wookie

and eh to derailment ... we're aiding thee mods really. these threads often sink and have to get bumped daily to keep momentum .. was the case for the last few as far as I remember anyways .. so postin up cute pooches kills a few birds so to speak, I recon

or maybe not ... here comes the infraction ... ;p
 
Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but I'm a cat person. They just fit better with my personality (plus I live in the city - easier for cats).

And yes, he we go again

They fekin banned me for a post trying to get people to pop over to BL and vote in the ongoing Cat vs Dog war, I have tried to engage them on the issue and received no response, apparently this was considered "spamming"

Apologies if this post isn't appropriate just delete it if so, personally I found the whole thing quite entertaining, especially my subsequent efforts to re-register under various names e.g. MrDog, mR_Dog.....you get the idea:D

KillCops, nope but we're looking for someone who's going to be a regular contributor here and ideally knows about the drug scene in our part of the world (as I typed that I realise I know v little about the drug scene in Africa, except South Africa has 'ludes..) as well as someone who gets our humour and understands out slang ;) NeighborhoodThreat is one of EADD's smods and he's Amerkun but he loves it here. Right NT? :D I can understand non-Euro/Africans wanting to get involved, EADD is awesome..
 
Believe me, a sense of humour is absolutely paramount. Or at least the ability to act amused at the right times.

Was that the sound of the thread being shamelessly bumped?
