Alright, so last week I went to a different drug testing outfit than I normally do. I got the results back today and in the breakdown I have the following:
Cocaine - Negative - 0.0n/mL - Cutoff - 200ng/mL
Benzoylecgonine - Positive - 64.6ng/mL - Cutoff 25ng/mL
The problem is I hadn't done any Coc for around 3 weeks before this. I started looking into the details and for 3 days leading up to this test I had a severe case of Strep Throat. I had a potent shot at the Dr's. office as well as 500mg of Amoxicillin 3x daily for 10 days afterwards.
I also have used every type of numbing solution possible to allow me to swallow. This includes lidocaine, a prescription Chloraseptic as well as a Gel that contained Novacaine and Glycerin or something.
It seems by doing some basic research that there is some question as to whether one or more of the above mentioned medicines could be the reason for this positive.
Any of you have any experience with anything like this? I'm not sure how to move forward. Would the courts recognize that this may be a false positive due to these meds or what?
