False posotive for PCP?

Years back I had a bit of an "od" you mite say due to the fact that my first time trying dxm I took 16 coricidin and then after not feeling it i took 6 ambien. Next thing I know im blacking in and out...one min im on a cruise ship, next im in the hospital. Long story short my pops saw me and took me to the hospital and my piss test they did came back false positive for pcp. My question is what the fuck does that actually mean? I had no pcp in my system...I know dxm is known to cause that but WHY?

DXM and PCP are both dissociative anesthetics and NMDA antagonists. It's probably because of structural similarity and having some of the same metabolites.

I'd hate to be "that guy" but you probably shouldn't be messing with triple c's.

^^I haven't used coricidin in many years....this was something that happened in '05.
