Falling asleep on psychedelics.

I don't usually take high doses, i found that with a fairly low dose, a dark room, and some music, i can usually have vivid open and closed eye visuals and a strong overall psychedelic experience without the higher body load.

Last night i had some 2C-D, a similar quantity to what i had done previously with desireable effects. I definately felt the effects after an hour or so, and felt the urge to retire on my bed to ride out the trip as i often do.

After another half-hour or two, i don't remember anything else, and also don't remember going to sleep, so i assume i fell asleep then. I've also had several other trips when i'm curled up, lying down, where i have significant patches of memory missing. Is it possible i'm falling asleep during my trips?

well, if you closed your eyes, then opened them 8 hours later, you probably fell asleep...

What about the other times when i've seemingly lost 1 or 2 hours? Is it common to have little memory of trips? (2C-D or 4-AcO-DMT in this case)

It is totally possible you are falling asleep. I do that when reading, watching TV, listening to music. I nod. And I do remember nodding for periods of times on LSD at a time I was very use to it. It's pretty easy to fall asleep for brief periods on a psychedelic. I remember sometimes not wanting to do that and having a cup of black tea for the caffeine. What's the point of falling asleep at the during the most colorful parts you know? Laying down for sure can make that happen.

Ive fallen asleep before when taking HBWR seeds. The come up made me very sleepy but i awoke when the trip kicked in.

Also losing an hour or two happens on occasion aswell.
The last time it happened to me was on a med-high dose LSD trip..
Im not sure if i forgot a couple hours or if time just flew by. I was in some sort of trance and just remember snapping out of it, i guess as the acid peak was dying down, and wondering what had just happened in the last couple hours of my life.

That's very similar to how i feel. I feel like i woke up from some serious trance/sleep but don't remember any of it. I wish i'd get to remember more of my trips, it's just hard to stay awake i guess when i feel like curling up under the covers.

Cat-naps on psychedelics are a treat. I've been to some weird and wonderful places as a result of the marriage of psychedelic and dream consciousness...

This really only works on a more sedating psychedelic like 2C-E however. Trying to sleep on LSD is more often than not a rather uncomfortable experience.

Yeah. Every time I do a high dose of LSD, susually, I lose a few hours, but I don't know about 8...

It depends on the drug for me. Sleeping on LSD is impossible at least 15-20 hours after the last dose unless Im so drunk I pass out. Ive fallen asleep during the peak several times on mushrooms. They just make me really drowsy. I also find it easy going to sleep on 2C-B once the peak has passed.

I think its quite normal on psychedelics, but it depends on the person which drug it is.

I love falling asleep on drugs!!! I fell asleep 5 hours into an acid trip once. I had some pretty weird dreams. Maybe the best feeling is falling asleep an hour or two after taking prescription amphetamines. Its like an orgasmy sleep!

nodding off while watching the tv after a ketamine binge is truly beautiful aswell

I'd say it's possible that your messed up perception of time just made it seem like you fell asleep. Lying in a comfortable position with your eyes closed is a very basic form of sensory perception, and since it's so easy to get lost inside your mind on psychedelics (in my experience at least..), go off on major tangents etc, and you have no visual or auditory input to go with these thoughts (aside from the effects of the drug) it's very easy to lose track of time. I also find that it's very hard to distinctly remember parts of a trip wherein you had no real contact with the outside world and other people. Unless it was something extremely profound, of course.

I consider it to just be trancing out...

I have done it on things that most people would not be able to fall asleep on or to....

I was out for a few hours on DOM in a tent close enough to the speakers at this festival to feel it through the dirt.....

I will close my eyes and then awake pretty suddenly feeling like i have gotten no sleep at all, just closed my eyes for what might as well been a second and its more like a matter of hours....

It just doesn't feel as restful on the mind as real sleep, but at the very least your body gets some rest...

i didn't think it was possible to fall asleep on psychedelics.

I would agree, in the aspect of falling into a deep sleep.. But i have on several occasion's become tired around the 5-6hr mark from LSD, mentally exhausted i suppose?

And have honestly felt like just going to bed due to extreme tiredness, but this was during a period of my life where i was using LSD on a frequent basis, you do it for long enough frequently enough and your not absorbing as much information as you would if you were spacing it out by a few months.

That said, waking up from 'feeling' like you've fell asleep is quite possibly the most delirious feeling i've ever felt, took my eyes an eternity to focus, i couldn't distinguish light reflections, know where i was or what i was doing.. it's especially horrid if you've been drinking as-well ;P

If I let my mind go stagnant on shrooms I can fall asleep, I actually had that happen at a rave one time of all things. I was waiting for a friend we were meeting up with and I sat down real quick and fell asleep for like 30 minutes even with the music blasting. I suddenly woke up when my phone vibrated and my friend showed up.

I have dozed quite a few times on LSD, usually at around the 5-6 hour mark of the trip. But then after an hour or so I'd wake up and continue the rest of the trip, and have difficulty proper-sleeping until the acid had completely worn off.

The last time I took LSD (this weekend) I suffered from extremely bad nausea and was bed-ridden for the entire time, but still immensely enjoyed the mental aspect of the trip. But because I was lying down in my tent, in my warm snuggly sleeping-bag, I drifted in and out of blissful sleep for about 6 hours or so, in the very peak of my trip. It was magical! <3

2C-E made me exceedingly drowsy both times I tried it, although I didn't actually sleep.

I fall asleep one time at the last stage of 4-aco-dmt. Veeeeeeery strong sedative effects.
