i overheard them talking when i was on the front porch with you.
6 a.m
watching the stars fall from the sky
they look how i feel right now...
breathing all the cold air in and tryin not to
speak anymore truths in your general
direction.
"There isn't anything worse than loving someone and not having them be yours"...
and as he said it...
we kinda looked at each other...
and again, i didn't know what to say
i poured my heart out to you...
but it didn't absorb i guess
or you chose to avoid it.
and i aplogize.
its so fitting that
strangers somehow knew what i was feeling...
and you didn't.
and again...
i am sitting here
wishing i had the right words to say
to make everything okay and
disappear into oblivion
or glisten with hope.
i can't decide which...

I know exactly how you feel. But I'm trying hard not to. Why? Because pain like this ends, and you get over it.
It just comes up in really odd situations, but you still have to go on with your life, regardless of what happens.
You think and you think, and you hope the words will come to you, but it's hard to imagine someone changing their thoughts about someone just over some simple words...
