Faking Diabetes

So having syringes it occured to me that on trips it might be usefull to be able to fake having diabetes (SHIT, I forgot my insulin and perscription :-) ) but I realized I don't really know anything about treating diabetes.
Insulin is injected for high blood sugar right? Where is it injected? IM I presume.
What does an insulin bottle look like. Is it one of those nifty injection fluids with a resealing cap? Color etc..
In general how often does a diabetic need to inject...what is the procedure for testing blood sugar levels?
 
Plan sounds like it may work, but wouldn't it suck if you tried to pull that off and they just took you aside and injected you with whatever diabetics use? It's probably unlikely anyone would do that without really knowing what you're "supposed" to be taking. You can also probably find a good deal of general info searching any search engine. But as for the specifics, I'm sure someone here is diabetic or knows someone.
 
^^ Ahh but the best part about this is given the information in the "why do opiates make you crave sweets" post you may be a mild approximation of a diabetic on heroin so it might be all okay.
Moreover this would only be to lie to lay people if you are seeing a doc he will just take a damn blood sample and test the blood sugar levels and no cop is going to go injecting you.

Insulin is adminstered into the fat layer. I do not think it is ever given IM. Occasionaly IV for emergency purposes.

Just wanna say I work at a small pharmacy (employee, cashier) and we have had a few people try to come in, trying to score some needles by using the diabetes. Well, all of them have been shot down by the pharmacists. They can really tell these people are tying to scam.
 
I don't think most Pharmicies ask questions about syringes.

yeah really, SYRINGES are easy to get, especially if you scroll the INTERNET...many people/pharmns will send you pins without question..just search around and u will find them..
faking DIABETES is pretty dumb...
when ya shoot insulin, you shoot it via SUBCUTANEOUSLY, ya "skin-pop" it...
