No it wouldn't. That rule is meant to prevent incriminating someone so if there's already an article about it then what's done is done for them. We have a whole subforum called 'Drugs in the Media' where people post articles with names in them all the time so trust that's it's not a rumor when I say it's not against the rules.

I'm with Carl that a rumor can be fact or fiction. Ex: "I heard that Jane snorted some coke off of some guys dick." Maybe she did, maybe she didn't, but as long as it's hearsay it's a rumor. That's why people usually speculate if it's true or not since they weren't there so didn't see it happen. The further removed you are from the person or persons involved in the event the more it's a rumor. So saying it's your cousins acquaintance makes it more of a rumor since the story could have changed with each person that told it.
Nobody is being a dick here. This is a forum so people are going to discuss things like this and differ in opinion. If you think he was being nasty then you're not going to last long on here.
