a turn and a twist
and im falling off of the edge
that i have so valiantly
sought after
chasing myself away from myself
these words lose their meaning
rhyme and purpose
when spoken from this state of mind
an empty feeling has overcome me
and i have realized i am not all
i have made myself
seem to be
we are only humans
and the wire we walk is
too thin
and shaky from the
storms we create
and endure in our lives
to play this
game of tag
with reality
with ourselves
my future is unsure
my balance is failing me
and i need you now
to take these shaking hands
and sad eyes
and bring me back to life
to be my hope
to be my someone
because if i lose you now
my own lack of control
unsteadied by your
inability to relate
turns my life into
a shiny piece of
nothing
a dream forgotten
and a memory faded
and i don't want to lose you now.

Oh my god....
This is probably my favourite Shuddr2Think poem ever....
It was stunning, and heart wrenching and beautiful. I wish I could write pages and pages about how much I love this....but I won't.
I'll just print it out and put it in my folder of poems, written by other people, which seem to be describe little pieces of my mind.
