You fucking know, I post it enough
i am very prone to getting spots on my face, particularly on the end and sides of my nose.
I wash everyday but they still seem to pop up every now and again.
Its not quite acne but still annoying when im trying to talk to someone and all i can think of is "can they see this massive red spot on the end of my nose"

What would you suggest as a good daily facial cleanser and other things that i could be doing to keep my skin in good condtion

Cleansing will never cure spots. Change your diet and lifestyle! :)

For cleansing, use only water, or water and a mild soap. Use a tiny
bit of oil as a moisturizer (like almond oil).

Good luck!

I LOVE St.Ives medicated scrub..abaut if you use it be sure to use a good moisturizer.

my routine is to use a cleanser in the morning and evening, i will use some slicylic acid on some spots to dry them out then use a scent colour etc free moisturizer. you can find all these in no name which will be half as cheap as most products.

even doing this stuff wont make it so you never break out. make sure to moisturize if you cleanse as your body will try to compensate for the dryness by producing a lot of oil.

i used to have bad spots, i found my skin was clear if i didnt smoke or drink for a few days. and so i stopped, bollocks to it.
never moisturise! no matter how dry you skin gets, and if you do get a spot then pop it or whatever and then wipe it with distilled witch hazel.
works a treat,
good luck

I'm 25 and still break out on occasion. My diet, amount of sleep, and alcohol intake all affect this greatly. When I drink tons of water and get a solid 8-9 a night, my skin looks best.

im 22, and the majoy acne is gone now but i still get the occasional outbreak

Mine cleared up when I stopped fussing with it by using cleansers that dried it out. These days, if it feels greasy in the shower, I'll use what little oil of olay, or origins face wash I have from days gone past.

if your face is very oily try cleaning with hydrogen peroxide (3 % ) on cotton balls

^hoseshit, it is not. yes, i'm serious, have you tried this?
it is something i do only once a day, otherwise it dries my skin out.
for me it is effective.

That seems like it would be very harsh on skin. I'd reccamend tea tree oil (yes, an oil) You can get it from The Body Shop in a gel or foam face wash, and I'm sure lots of other companys make it, but thats the only one I've tried. The foam stuff from the body shop does wonders, just massage it into your skin with your fingers, it leaves your skin soft and smooth without over-drying.
