my mate got us some pills the other day they changed to black almost strait away but had totally no effect can some one please tell me if this has happened before cause it shits me that someone has gone to the effot to beat the tester

the tiniest bit of MDxx can give the reaction. lets say there was 2mg of MDxx in the pill and your mate was a big bloke. well it's hardly suprising he didn't feel anything, thresh hold dose for most people is 30mg and optimal is between 75 and 125mg.
the test will indicater the presence of an MDxx chemical but will not tell you how much is contained in the pill
now why would people make weak pills? fooling the test is part of the reason, but more likely this pill is from a batch that was repressed from other pills, and maybe those pills were a repress, and so on. we are seeing more of this sort of thing. pills that have been repressed often are poorly mixed, so that one pill might get 60mg but another might get 6mg.
people are greedy, but buyers arent fools. you going to buy off that guy again?

There is a certain threshold amount required to give a positive test to Marquis reagent.
There is also things that I can add to make it go black quicker. That's why I have been EMPHASISING that you CAREFULLY WATCH the colour changes. You should see a brightish dark blue, that changes to purple/black. Just because it's black, doesn't mean it's MDxx. BLACK IS NOT GOOD!!!! Look for the CHANGE.
You could also use E2 to give you a more accurate answer, as it's more difficult to fool this new tester. Contact us if you want to test that sample you had.

chemical, why is black not good?

I think he wants to emphasize that the color change is what counts.
From dropping quickly to purple and then darkpurple almost black is good, I suppose.
Just dropping, closing your eyes and then looking and if it is black could still mean that it is DXM.
DXM will not show any purple.
That's what you mean, isn't it ?
