Eye Wiggles

It's not the result of a magnesium deficiency, though magnesium supplementation does seem to prevent it.

It's often associated with nausea - people with nausea occasionally get it. I don't think that anyone really understands the cause of it. Some people have it congenitally (from birth, and permanently). That would be horrible... they generally don't learn to read properly.

thanks, thats was the kind of answer i was looking for.

I love the eye wiggles. I get them all the time when I take E. Especially when Im listening to some trance and theres a sick buildup and drop. My eyes go absolutly nuts.

Anecdotal evidence seem to suggest that MDEA produces more intence nystagmus (eye wiggles) than MDMA. MDEA Pihkal entry (not only Pihkal also reported in quite a few MDEA trip reports)

The only time I ever have really noticed getting nystagmus was on a strong MDEA pill. I would describe it like everything I looked at was "flutter vision" during the peak. Also myself and my firends noticed extremely blurry vision during the comedown of MDEA which I have never expereinced before on MDMA. My friend could not read his phone. Another (on same MDEA pill) could not light his cigarette because he was holding the flame of his ligher an inch away from the end of the cigarette.

I also had some pretty blurry vision on MDA.

On MDMA I do get some dizzyness but generally very little visual distortion, rather I have the perception of seeing everything clearer (ps. & I already have 20:20 vision). The only real visual distortion I think I may get is slower vision. (ie I think that spinning glowsticks ect the light maybe seems to trail longer.)
