^ Funny you ask, I actually had it IVed a couple of weeks ago for endoscopy. It wasn't particularly thrilling. I just felt like my thinking was being slowed down at a very high rate, and maybe slightly relaxed (but then again I was experiencing traumatic anxiety at the time, AND had a high tolerance).

onmyway: phenaz is definitely not the best choice for a first-time benzo experience. It is pretty weird in its action and someone who doesn't know what to look for may get very lost on it.

I think the only thing stopping phenaz from becoming a premier drink-spiking drug is the fact that it is so poorly soluble.

In theory I understand why u are saying that phenaz's insolubility in water might make it a poor choice for a "drink spiker", when u consider the miniscule doses, i dont really think this comes into play. Sure, its not really water soluble, but when 1-3mg could put someone OUT, I dont think that its lack of solubility would draw any suspicion. 1-3mg of a powder added to a drink would be invisible for all intents and purposes.
I think the real reason its hasnt emerged is that it is not very well known now. The historic "knock out drops" have been essentially cultural phenomenons. Roofies and the like were household words. An obscure benzo out of Russia just hasnt become well known yet...and I hope it stays that way because the truth is, given its effects and tiny dose required, I actually think it would be a devistatingly effective drink spiker. Would u really notice a mg or 2 of some powder suspended in your drink in a dark bar/club?
