Extracting D-amphetamine & Methylphenidate ?

I don't think there would be any viable way to extract them without losing a decent amount of your product.

I used to snort shit loads of ritalin and a bit of dex back in the day and it always worked fine for me. There is a lot of binders in there to snort and it probably isn't great for your nose but that is the price you pay if you want to rail them I'm afraid.

I have never been scripted ritalin or dex in my life, so I didn't have a legitimate medical need for them. I am inclined to agree with others that have pointed out if you actually need your meds then abusing them is not a wise move.

You should have told Johnny Cash that in the late 1950's when he took his first Benzedrine tab. and jump to 1966, when he got up to 100+-5mg tabs daily with Meprobamate and other downers "when i needed to sleep or die" Photos of him then-he looks like a meth head
 
The easiest way to get rid of non-soluble tablet excipients would be to use a syringe driven filter unit (aka pill filter, wheel filter, ufo). Basically - crush up your tabs, dissolve in cold water, and pass through a filter. The resultant solution can be evaporated if you're keen to snort powder - else rectal admin would be pretty quick and efficient
 
I don't know solubility of methyl phenidate so not sure there. Amphetamine sulphate is easily water soluble - the tablet binders and fillers tend not to be (mainly talc in dexamphetamine sulphate). The amount of fluid retention in a wheel filter is about 0.1ml. You can reduce the retention of drugs in the filter by wetting the filter first (passing through 0.5ml or so of just water), and also by sucking a small amunt of air into the syringe before affixing filter and pushing your mix through. The air goes through last and will push most of the fluid left in the filter out.

So your final product is amphetamine sulphate dissolved in water; the binders are all left in the filter. So you could evaporate off the water and just be left with amphetamine sulphate crystals.

Of course all the afore-mentioned caveats about how you are better off just taking your medicine orally still apply :)

Hey just pulled a MSDS for methylphenidate - it says "freely soluble" so yes this method would work for ritalin too

Up to you really. The only real benefit to isolating the active from tablets is so you can play around with routes of administration. Certainly snorting would work - with less crap going into your nose. Not that the fillers would necessarily be terribly harmful to snort in the first place. But it might make it easier.

If you intend to go as far as extracting the d-amp sulfate with a wheel filter, hell you might as well explore injection as an ROA, save you the hassel of jamming something up your arse, or evaporating it slowly...

I don't think this is the most sage advice to be offering a 17 y/o highschool student..... 8)
 
I was unaware the poster was an underage, err, child.

The method to my madness was quite clearly explained. It was more a backhanded comment anyway.. as i think amphetamines are generally quite the waste of time to abuse anyway - especially if you need them to operate daily, abusing your meds is a surefire way to wind up like me... So there is some sage advice from someone who has had to detox from abusing their medications, and now has to deal with life with great mental disability without the meds purely because they are now so tollerant, and the urge to dose til 'high' is far too much.

More to the point:
If he really plans to perform the extraction in order to feel more 'clear-headed', the inevitable rush from IVing the end product would not be serving the so-called purpose...

Jesus Christ guys back off, it's up to him. you might be concerned which is nice but it seems to me like most of you just want to preach for your own sake. The thread topic is extracting d amp and methyphenidate so let's keep it on that, someone might learn something of value.

i'm quite capable of dishing out my own meds
hell, i was the one who actually sought help; went to my GP and made an appointment with my psychiatrist....

i dont think i'll be extracting either any time soon
it was more my initial hype, i take my meds responsibly
but yes, i know the risks and i do heed your warnings, i was just looking for safe methods of extraction...
