Extracting Acetaminophen from DXM?

I have a bottle of cough syrup with 15mgs ofDxm and 500mgs of acetaminophen. I heard something like putting the liquid in hot water which would kill most of the apap and save the dxm? Even if I cant kill it all just make levels safe on my liver? Any help would be appreciated

You need a solvent like propylene glycol to perform this. Acetominophen is only partially soluble in hot water and at specific temperatures.

Basically. I just wanna kill the acetaminophen and drink the dxm. Don't. Wanna make powder etc jus kill most of the apap to safe levels like not 4000+ you know?

How much acetaminophen is too much? I have cold tablets with 500 mg in them and am kinda worried about accidentally overdoing.

Any amount of acetaminophen in your DXM preparation is too much. once you reach an active level of DXM, you've taken too much acetaminophen. Find a DXM only product.
