Are there any drugs out there that you used to do but are not available what so ever anymore? like quaaludes for example. Or are there any that were around and used by more than just a few people and now are nowhere to be found?
 
acid is more or less a fantasy around these parts anymore. i know someday it'll be back, but so far nothing but memories have made it this far

I'm pretty sure Ludes still exist, and it was just a dumb(really stupid) slang word for any kind of speed drugs(I dont know if this includes meth).
Whatever whatever tho

In my opinion if a drug ever becomes totallly extinct it's not a bad thing becuase the rules of supply and demand dictate that it wouldn't be a very good drug if it were to leave the market.

edit: (While i guess i didn't have my facts straight, after the 2 posts below were made i looked up to see what exactly ludes were and they aren't speed, sorry):(

Ludes was short for Quaaludes. As far as I know they are no longer made in the U.S., but can be clandestinely produced.

The only "ludes" I have encountered in my lifetime have been large doses of common benzos pressed in to pill form.

I don't think that ludes has ever been used as slang for speed. Quaaludes are like the polar opposite of speed.
 
Lots of ludes in Mexico still. Acid is pretty rare and mescaline is pretty much non-existant other than San Pedro growing in the yard.
 
yah acid is certainly not extinct.

the only drugs ive seen dissapear utterly and entirely are AMT, 5-MeO-DiPT, 2-CT-7, and 2-CB. They used to all be relatively easy to aquire about 5-6 years ago, and since then have vanished from my sight (of course AMT and so-called 'foxy' were easy to get since they were quasi legal).

On the other hand, just in case any DEA pricks are reading this and glowing, LSD, Mushrooms, Heroin/OxyContin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Ecstasy, and Marijuana have all become easier and easier to access (LSD being more difficult but not nonexistant) in that time period. In fact, drugs like weed, E, or meth seem to be easier to purchase than toilet paper or chicken breast.

Yah u are right. If people are saying they have 'ludes, they most likely have some kind of benzo cut up and re-pressed into a pill. They were popular back in the 70s, but I think more contemporary downers would provide, shall we say, a greater bang for your buck. I think they are still produced in pharmecutical companies in countries with disadvantaged economic systems, but someone bragging they've done/have ludes is just lame, and pretty much the only reason the term "Quaaludes" still persists in the drug underground.
 
^ Just recentley I've seen AMT, 5-MeO-DiPT, 2C-T-7. They are not "extinct". The only drug that is fairly rare is powdered mescaline, I guess any drug is rare without the right connections.

but extinct drugs for me its the opium or nexus been looking for those since I started taking drugs smoked opium once fell in love
 
^ how large is the dose of mescaline? just grow your own poppys. I don't see how everyone thinks its so freaking hard to get opium.
 
im 15 man I have no legal source for some poppies IF I could I would grow my own poppies.

I beleive its peyote to be exact as my friend said you eat half a button and he tripped for approximately 10 hours including comeup....
 
Standard dose of mescaline is 300-500mg

Acid is extremely hard to find, mescaline is non-existant, and now the research chems are impossible to get too. Too bad too, cuz I was having some fun with those RCs for a while.

well, I listen to alot of stories about STP in the 60's, but never found any...

all opium poppy seeds are legal, they're old OTC or online for select varities. and peyote is legal in canada, you know you can get mescaline from san pedro? you made it seem like you found mescaline sulphate :P
 
the only way a drug would go 'extinct' would be if there was suddenly absolutely no demand, and then (unless it was derived from a plant which was extinct) it would only be out of production, but chances are could fairly easily be brought back
