Can anyone tell me what would happen if a person was exposed to the 2nd hand smoke from burning/smoking fentanyl. Would it have the same effect on the person breathing it in, induce sleep, etc? Is there a risk of becoming dependant on it and/or over dosing?

I don't think you could get effects from fentanyl "second hand". At least when I've seen it smoked, it vaporizes so fast the person smoking has to be fairly experience just to not lose the smoke...and that's the person with the straw....I would imagine because of how fast it dissipates it would be highly unlikely to be able to get any effect unless you were the one actually smoking it.

Unless you're shut in a car or a box with clouds upon clouds of smoke (which ime doesn't happen with fentanyl) you have nothing to worry about. And even then, you're not going to get a habit

Yes what the last person said is true about it vaporizing fast but considering how potent fentanyl it is most definitely possible

Vaporizing fentanyl absorbs pretty quickly in your lungs, and the bio-availability is lower when anyone 'smokes' it. So getting some second hand smoke from fentanyl that's already been through someones lungs will not do anything good or bad for you. Unless you get a nice direct hit off the foil, then you MIGHT get a small buzz, but you'd have to be trying. No worries.
