I admit.. I did go on a bit of a mad one in this thread..

To be honest i barely remember writing it.. I hadn't read it until just now - couldn't remember what it said.. To be honest, although i still believe what I said - I don't see religion as the scurge of mankind to the level i used to, and especially don't feel the need to point out the evils in scripture whenever I hear someone say something like "God is love".. So am surprised I wrote that post at all..

Then I think responding to posts addressing my original one (Ninae) set me off in a pavlovian conditioned kind of way.. went into autopilot.

In a forum where new members join often and create their own threads, the questions and topics repeat themselves, my answers and opinions will follow.. There's a new thread about astral projection every half page, demons come up a lot etc etc..

I'm sorry if the rest of my posts annoy you.. people tend to dislike information that doesn't fit in or work with the reality they believe in..

And I truly think this forum would be dead boring if it became some sort of circle jerk of agreement.

I don't know about now as I'm barely on bl any more but there was a time when that was the case.. The only opposing views would come in posts of "Consciousness is nothing more than a manifestation of the physical brain" or "Ghosts aren't real" with no stated reasons or information to leave the thread and never return..

Foreverafter - You're at least a little angry - Nobody writes such lengthy posts about something that's boring the shit out of them.

You're not blowing people's minds or upsetting anyone. Nothing your saying is anything we haven't heard before.
You make it sound as if what you're posting threatens - in some way - to pull the foundations out from beneath us.
That is not the case.

Writing posts arguing against organised religion is one thing. It's to be expected but is annoying when so many bring up the same arguments again and again, not just here, but in real life, and eveywhere. Especially when they for some reason seem to believe that anyone who can find something in religion has never considered that basic argument.

The problem with this poster is more the tendencey to show up once a month and spam every single spiritual thread with arguments and insults, often until it gets a thread closed. As he seems to believe everyone with different views has to be less intelligent/informed, and doesn't seem able to get his mind around that something that makes no sense or is an alien concept to him could be interesting to read about for someone else.

I like to think I bring a bit of.. reality to the forum.. It's a breeding ground for pseudoscience and superstition.. the only reason you find my posts so "boring" is because you don't want to hear it as you are not interested in my opinion as it doesn't agree with your understanding of reality.

And Ninae, you too.. stop talking shit to try and make me look silly.. cherry picking posts of mine to remember (whether consciously or not) that help build up a persona for a character you think i am or want me to be, to then insult me using this character of me as a reason / justification is not very christian like now, is it?

But I honestly have no idea where you got the spamming threads until they were closed story from.. The only thread I've played a part in it's closure of is the evolution vs creation thread.. but that was a shared effort between me and my now 8 by 8 board pal, methamantic. (unless you want to include the thread i made yesterday telling meth to empty his inbox?)

As for arguments and insults part - do you mean differing views and substance? If so I'd have to agree with you.. There have been a few times where I've insulted posters - Meth in Evo vs CT, Journeyman in same thread, possibly a couple more isolated incidents (all of which I am sorry for) and then you.. But that was in retaliation to your smug self righteous claim that I, along with others who don't believe in spirituality, the paranormal or one of the out there theories (that you used to post) were somehow less *something* (i forget the words you used) that those who did believe them - which only amplified when you claimed you were a being from the 7th dimension that was sent here to help mankind (along with a lot of other self righteous - I'm superior to you - bull shit.

The only person i've knowingly and purposefully implied that he is less intelligent than me was methamantic.. (sorry meth )

What you perceive as me starting an argument starts off as me sharing my opinion (which more often than not was asked for)..

And no - I understand that topics i have no BELIEF in (they make perfect sense to me) may be of interest to others.. I have an interest in them myself.. but I don't see how me sharing some information and my opinion on the subject makes it less interesting? Even if you have no trust in anything I say the replies I get or even the questions I raise would only add to the information in which they seek (/the information you consider to be post worthy / interesting / A-OK)

You made accusations against me, I responded by pointing out the accusations as being untrue.. the debate, if that's what this is, is happening as it should.. There is no point in getting offended by someone else's opinion. It cannot hurt you. If you think he is repeating his arguments, why not try and counter them? The Old Testament and Judaism is very hard to defend IMO, but for people well versed in religion, it probably shouldn't be. I have an open mind, I wish to learn and educate myself constantly and I do listen to what people have to say, even if the person is a fucking crazy Norweigan pagan or a delerious Laotian midget :D I have learned stuff from everyone here...

I think all in all i posted three times in that thread.. One which was a fair answer to your question and the other a genuine message of concern (and then another to say I didn't mean to insult you and i like you)

So.. the egyptian threads closure had nothing to do with me.. and the other one was closed because of me but i didn't mean to do that, honestly that message was sincere..

To be fair he has a point.. to those that frequent this forum they have read the same "we wouldn't have creationism in schools, oppression of women and homosexuals".. There were periods where I'd be on and off (mostly on) bluelight all day every day and so was heavily involved in a lot of threads.. I would have repeated the same things when talking to different people and when they're so anti something you love - that could be a bit jarring.

That only goes for my standard rant about the harms caused by religion though.. i reckon my other posts have stayed on topic, been of value to the discussion and kicked some ass

He wasn't arguing with me in any way like he has been argued with here.

His posts have been consistently like "Hahaha...I can't believe anyone can be so stupid to believe in a spiritual dimension of life...look at me, I'm rational, intelligent, and know better". Followed by a long line of personal insults. Arguing just for the sake of arguing and feeling better about yourself.

But maybe people actually see value in this kind of thing...I'm just getting tired of it.
