Expired Lyrica? I am thinking of starting it again

For my fibro. I have about 2 bottles of the stuff, one saying it expired in July (this year) and thinking of getting back on it. Pain levels have been really bad, and I need some relief as I cannot even sleep. Is it safe to take?

expired drugs are more times than not safe to take after the experation date, the chemicals could degrade in strength a bit, but from my experiance there is no problems

I understand that. I read somewhere only on 1 forum that a lot of drugs are decent past their expiration date, but he talked to a pharmacist and said it was only Lyrica that goes bad quick and isn't good to take past its expiration. I have no confirmation on that and I've talked to my pharmacy, it was neutral. Everyone seems to know how drugs affect one another here far more than a pharmacist, so I figured this would be the place to ask.
