Expired Hydrocodone

Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with taking APAP 5/500 Hydrocodone which had expired more than 3 years ago? I have heard mixed comments to this, but mostly that the drug loses its potency. If so, could taking higher doses give similar effects. Anyone heard of any negative consequences?

take them, they cant hurt you... i have taken vics that were a couple of years past the exp. and they didnt seem any weaker...

ive had some that were 6 years old and they were fine. the expiration is bs for the most part.

Any product for human consumption in the US is required to have an expiration date as ruled by the FDA .. with drugs it's like 1 year on prescription medications - basic rule: any "recreational" pharm wont go bad - at least not in your lifetime... narcotics are VERY STABLE, they dont get weaker, their effects dont change, they wont hurt you, etc....
I can promise that hydrocodone is as potent as the day it was made!

about a few months ago i stole a script of oxycodones from someones house who had a party. they were 3 years old. i took them and they were just as good as they could be. not that codones are that strong to begin with but it didnt seem like it changed at all over the years.

I had a scrip for codine that was 2 years expired and i decided to take them.. They didn't do shit. Potency was gone I guess. oh well, it was wortha try
