Benzos Expired Chlordiazepoxide/Clidinium Bromide

Hello, my ferret found a bottle with around 20 pills containing 5mg Chlordiazepoxide hydrochloride with 2.5mg Clidinium bromide. The bottle says they were prescribed in 2000. What happens if my ferret takes them for recreational use? Is it true the older the pill gets, the weaker it gets, or is it not safe to take at all. If it is safe, how many milligrams would my ferret have to take for decent effects and what are the effects?

My pet ferret thanks you, he is very curious since learning it was the first benzo ever created!
 
I would toss them. I don't have enough knowledge to say if its safe or not. I can assume its fine, but honestly that stuff (commonly branded as Librium) has almost no recreational value in many users experiences.

It is commonly prescribed ( along with baclofen and clonidine) for pre suboxone heroin withdrawals.
