Hi,

I have 18 orange/white 40 mg Biphentin capsules, that have been expired since 2008. I was wondering what the shelf life of this product is and how it can effect potency with insuffilation. I have taken methylphenidates since i was in grade school (am now 24) and haven't taken them in about 7 years, other than as directed by doctors. I couldn't find any information on this subject, forgive me if there is already a thread on this.

Thanks.

ive taken numerous different drugs that expired anywhere from 1999 (took em in 06), 2008 (took em in 2012), 2 bottles of syrup, 1 codeine, 1 hydrocodone both expired by a year. ive never had a problem with expired meds.

if stored right they usually last a good long while. id say give it a go. potency should not be affected at all or very little, probaly not even enough to notice a difference.

Methylphenidate Hcl is very stable. I wouldn't imagine they would have degraded much if at all if stored at room temperature in a cabinet, drawer, or closet etc.
