Hi,
I have been to this forum on numerous occasions, but have only just delivered my first post. I was born, and still reside, in Australia. Throughout the last 16 - 17 years I have experimented with everything from benzodiazepines, opiates, stimulants, inhalants, hallucinogenics and maybe more, both legal (OTC, Misuse) and illicit. I am not a daily user but, would instead consider myself a "binge and purge", or, recreational user. It's not merely the experience that entices and interests me but also the pharmacology, psychology, history and experiences from others, as well as maintaining a healthy physical and mental state through each and every experience/experiment.

As I'd made my first post I thought it would be rude not to introduce myself and say 'Hello' :)

Hello anaesthesiac :) I also herald from Australia (a heap of us on here do). If you've been around for a while, you would have seen Australian Drug Discussion. As laika said, your intro is brilliant! I'm guessing you've also seen Trip Reports?

If you have any questions or queries, shoot any of the staff a Private Message :)

Very nice little intro. :)
Welcome to Bluelight

Thank you kindly :) It has been, at times, an invaluable source of information - so I may as well participate a little more openly.

Thank you also, Samadhi, for your warm welcome :)
I have already spent the majority of my time trying to gain as much information as possible about what's happening in my backyard VIA the Australian Drug Discussion thread, it was one of the reasons I first started visiting. I have seen the fantastic Trip Report thread too, and believe it or not, I've already posted a basic summary/report. Thanks for the advice :)

Now to just get these forum rules cemented in the old brain..... :P

Agreed. I really like what you had to say in it :)

Thank-you kindly, I like to keep a nice balance between recreational use and personal, physical and mental wellbeing. I work long hours to help pay for my chemical interests, but to be honest I really love the research into pharmacological creation and the supposed effects, the beginnings of the substance and it's initial uses, as well as the psychology behind it that drives us to wade into territory we've never before experienced. Obviously preparing as best we can to help us deal with the side effects of physical and mental harm, minor or major always present. There is an aspect of experimenting with the personal subconscious/unconscious that adds an element of excitement and trepidation. And while experiencing the multitude of positives, when you have an unhealthy time it really does give you an appreciation of the need for balance and moderation to be strongly included in the game plan.... And now I think I'm rambling, it's been a long day :)

Welcome to Bluelight! :)

You should post some pictures of where your neck of the woods is, the beautiful nature it contains, etc. :D

Thank-you Captain :) The nature of the Hinterland area surrounding where I live is amazing, yet between two jobs and part-time University study I rarely have a spare moment to sleep, let alone explore as often as I'd like to - unfortunately. My nature walks are limited to a daily walk/jog with my faithful animal companion, but I will endeavour to find some pictures I've taken in the Hinterland and put them up here for your viewing pleasure :)
