I'm not saying it's "more dangerous" I'm simply saying that people pick and choose the risks they take every single day.
Also, i would question how many $200+ escorts serving classy customers wind up raped, robbed, and murdered by clients every year. Unfortunately it's all broken down into "sex workers".
What the 10 dollar a blow 20 bucks to fuck, 30 bucks to bareback it so I can get my dope fix whore on the street corners does with 20 sleezy guys a day is pretty far removed from what I do.
One could say things about how "drug users" have a high rate of spreading blood borne pathogens, have a tendency to overdose, become addicts, and throwing their lives away for a fix, alienating family...etc etc...
But what Joey DopeFiend and Janey MethMouth do is pretty far removed from the little party girl that eats some mushrooms or 2c-x every 2-3 weeks does, even if we're all "drug users".
Life is all calculated risk taking. You and only you can figure out your comfort zone. I've established mine.
I've seen the documentaries, read the newspaper, seen the street walkers on the corner of Spring and 4th, read the awareness pamplets while sitting in a waiting room to get my STD test results, researched condom brands to see what would be most reliable, looked up pictures of the results of various STD's online so that I know what to be on the lookout for, I've cut out the clients I believe to be higher risk.
Blah blah blah...basically, i've done my homework, I've been in the game for almost 3 years, I know what's up, and I've chosen to undertake all those risks anyways because I believe the rewards to be worth it for me. I've done the best I can to explain my position on the matter,I'm clearly not ignorant in this regard. Someone can choose to accept more or less risk in their lives then I've chosen to, and that's ok. I'm simply saying I don't really need someone to repeat ad infinitum the same things that the little voice in the back of my head already chirps about every single day and every single night.
