When I was younger I went to brothels a few times. It was pretty good the first few times. The girls were hot i.e outta my league. They were usually friendly and not the typical stereotype of what prostitutes were meant to be like. I used to chat with them a bit. They were definately in it for the money. One girl told me she was studying at uni and that she might keep doing it after uni as the money was better than what she could earn after getting her degree. I suppose looking back I liked it as I didnt have any performance anxiety.. Not sure why that was. here in aus they are usually just normal girls doing a not so normal job.. I never judged them because of it. There a far more people out there with lower morals than these girls...

There's a website that gives trip reports for the window girls in Amsterdam that's a good read of the guy's experiences.

My friends and I went to a strip club and the strippers there were really open about how they'd have sex with us for more money, and you could tell by looking at them that stripping was a step up for them and that they were prostitutes who had been around a lot.

This isn't to say that all dancers/strippers are prostitutes but the ones there were.

The one prostitute was black/mulatto and she kept saying to my friend (a white boy), "yeah boy you wanna hit this shit? Brag to all of your friends that you had this kinda pussy?"

He wanted to take her up on her offer but he didn't have enough money.

There used to be a "massage parlor" near my house.. for a while business there was off the hook like guys going in every 10 minutes or so. I looked it up on the internet and it was like $40 for half an hour or something like that. they were pretty blatant though so they eventually got shut down.

Yep, that about covers it. We just can't tell you where... just like you can find drugs on the internet, but we can't tell you that, either.

Frizz - there's a similar massage parlor that I walk by on my way home from work. There's a convenience store next to it that I visit often. I chat with the guy who owns the shop and the other day he told me he saw an exchange between a prostitute and a homeless man - a couple crack rocks in exchange for a blowjob.

There are a surprising number in the financial district, too, in some pretty obscure alleys, and I live fairly close to one of the main drags where TS (MTF, some pre-op, others post-op) sex workers frequent. I won't mention the name of the street or the name of the bluelighter... but at a meetup a couple months back outside a bar on this street, a bluelighter was propositioned for "a good time" shall we say pretty blatantly by one. (He declined.)

My old apartment was a couple blocks down from a bar where activities such as this occur. I long ago lost count of the number of used condoms on the street after a busy weekend night.

I've had friends who worked in the sex industry - legally in Nevada, and otherwise. I don't have much in the way of a personal opinion as to the legality of prostitution, but it is difficult to see prostitution as a victimless crime knowing what devastation occurred in their lives (with the exception of the one girl I know who worked at a well-known legal brothel in Nevada). As with drugs, it's a risky business, and I don't think in good conscience I could hire a prostitute given my personal knowledge of some of the things that happened to the wonderful people I know who got caught up in the business. I can't think of one who escaped completely unscathed - even the girl I know who worked legally ended up losing custody of her son over her job. :(

I've never had sex with an escort but I have put up ads on craigslist in the casual encounters section to find girls to pay for sex that normally wouldn't do it.

It's just kind of a thing I had or a phase or something. I would offer $1,000 for a night to a girl that wasn't a sex worker and wouldn't normally do anything like this.

You might think it's impossible to determine something like that but I live near a bunch of colleges/universities so the first requirement was always a student ID. Maybe a couple of them were prostitutes on the side before and I just didn't know but the fact that they were in school was good enough for me. I also consider myself a good judge of "whoreism" and was looking specifically for innocence. It's possible a whore slipped past me though.

Plus I actually got responses from girls that I knew through my girlfriend so it was kind of funny to me to meet someone a couple months ago and then invite them over to fuck for money and surprise.. they know me and are friends with my girlfriend.

Just added to the whole mind fuck experience I was going for. Maybe a psychologist can explain to me why it is I was doing this but it was a hell of a lot of fun and I can't say I really feel bad at all because these girls got $1,000 in a night just to have sex and I'm not some kind of disfigured weirdo or anything.

There was just something about seeing a person's values crumble for money that intrigued me I guess. For me the money was spent on the high I got from getting the girl to agree and come over and actually do it more than the sex.
 
I've never paid for it, but to be honest the idea of a cold-blooded cash transaction for sex doesn't bother me as much as the traditional hook-up method of hitting bars/parties in search of girls who are sufficiently alcohol impaired and with sufficiently little respect for themselves to fuck a random. It's not pretty either way, but there's at least a sort of honesty to blatent prostitution.
