much love
posting here because there is no healthy living subforum

i did some digging on some, this is what i got back.
i agree with omega 3's and creatine
i'm curious if there is anecdotal evidence to support bacopa, gingko and panax ginseng, is it worth investing in these for my brain health.
seeking clarity of thought.

  • Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA)
    • Mechanism: supports neuronal membrane fluidity and reduces inflammation.
    • Evidence: multiple meta-analyses show small but reliable improvements in memory and learning, especially if diet is low in omega-3s.
  • Bacopa monnieri (Brahmi)
    • Mechanism: antioxidant and cholinergic modulation; improves synaptic communication.
    • Evidence: several randomized, placebo-controlled trials (in healthy adults and older populations) show enhanced delayed recall and learning after 8–12 weeks of consistent use.
  • Ginkgo biloba
    • Mechanism: improves cerebral blood flow and may modulate neurotransmitters.
    • Evidence: mixed but moderately positive in meta-analyses for older adults and those with mild cognitive impairment; less clear for young, healthy users.
  • Creatine monohydrate
    • Mechanism: boosts cellular energy (ATP) availability, including in neurons.
    • Evidence: RCTs show benefits for short-term memory and reasoning, especially under sleep deprivation or vegetarian diets.
  • Panax ginseng
    • Mechanism: adaptogenic; modulates stress response and cholinergic activity.
    • Evidence: modest improvements in working memory and attention span, particularly with standardized extracts (e.g., G115).

I take creatine and vitamin D (basically fish oil) and those seem good overall... I avoid the other three because they are "adaptogens" and have concerning contraindications. I somehow don't think the memory benefits will be worth it after they cause me to have a stroke...

No, these supplements aren't to be taken unless said by doc.

vit d with blood work and then another set yes.

it's called daily check and they should be done once a year.

You get this shit from dairy, e.g kefir. full of plus plus and plus... from D all way to K, including.

Calcium same. Cottage cheese. Grab some french fries take a grater and buf. "Vitamins"..

p.s just boil a potato and then use the grater.

anyway these things are done in real time through actual world improvement

Socialize, travel & participate in a meeting involving arts or music talk. Play platformer games, try and create.

Get some hobbies, eat like a human. Fuck supplements.

Don't avoid doctors. Their here for you and your pocket.

I heard something too about honey before you go to bed. <3

Are you doing any form of exercises to increase memory retention? Is your sleep, diet and training locked in?
These things will help you more with memory retention than those supplements, cholinergics like bacopa can be good but be careful if you have an OCD phenotype as high doses of cholinergics can make it go haywire
