Experiences of Addiction and the Medical Profession

I got multiple broken ribs, cant breath properly and the services are doing fuck all to help me and I am left to suffer with no pain relief as I stupidly did a subutex detox then went back on a low dose to avoid a relapse, I asked for naloxone but no. Now I am in agony and left to suffer. I have documented all the fuck ups they have put me through so if worse happens then a lot of people will have a lot of explaining to do. They did script me a pepper extract and said it would be at chemist by lunch time so I did the painful 2 mile journey and it was not even there. 6mg of diazepam a day to prevent any more seziures, pathetic. Its not any of the doctors fault, its the systems bull shit red tape and the fact they are all scared of any liability, I got years of clean U/A's to back me up but that means nothing. I really am fucked...

Jesus Christ 5*, what the hell is wrong with your services?? My heart really goes out to you mate. What about their liability if you had a fatal seizure? Hang in there mate, you're doing fantastic in the circumstances....
 
I take it you mean a capsaicin extract patch five-star?

I've always wondered how these are supposed to provide any analgesia other than by just heating the skin...So I Googled it.? ...

The mechanism by which capsaicin's analgesic and/or anti-inflammatory effects occurs is purportedly by mimicking a burning sensation; overwhelming the nerves by the calcium influx, and thereby rendering the nerves unable to report pain for an extended period of time. With chronic exposure to capsaicin, neurons are depleted of neurotransmitters, leading to reduction in sensation of pain and blockade of neurogenic inflammation. If capsaicin is removed, the neurons recover.

Hope that's of some help to someone ....
