Experienced people - Can you advise on my situation? Olanzapine, LSD & DXM

Hi there,
First, I'm new to register and the forum has always been a great source of information through google along with erowid.

To the point, I had my first acid trip last "Monday (7 days)" and it went well, I had 100ug sublingual first (no effect), then another about an hour and a half later and I came up. I prepared well for my first trip - plenty of xanax and some olanzapine. Once I had my trip and the acid was gone (excellent quality stuff from the lab) I decided to take 10mg of Olanzapine to see what it was like and it knocked me out to sleep, on Thursday I took half - nothing - then took the other half and feel asleep....

I got more blotters on Friday (excellent quality 200ug) - held one under tongue - nothing. Tried another and nothing.
Upon this happening I checked the half life of olanzapine and found it to be 21-54 hours.

I was bored so I wanted something, I am now writing this post 02:53 on Sunday, I tried another lsd blotter this afternoon (held it under my tongue for an hour and nothing)

My question is; when will the acid start working again?...taking into consideration olanzapine and potential tolerance for the lsd?
Can I rule out the lsd tolerance factor?, and if so waiting for at least 54 hour (for the olanzapine) life just to be halved (will that continued half, have much effect on an lsd experience?)

Going back to the tolerance issue...could I still have an acid tolerance even though I didn't feel it's effects, did the olanzapine completely block the lsd from doing anything, thus zero tolerance development? Also, does dxm affect any of the acid receptors as I have been taking this since friday evening (so far I've gone through 5 bottles of benelin which is 187.5 dxm per bottle (937.5 in total) and three bottles of miller (alcohol - beer) in the last few hours?

I am interested in hearing peoples thoughts on this as I don't want to waste another blotter but I am looking forward to my next acid trip asap.

It's likely that you still had olanzapine in your system, which was blocking the effects of the LSD. After a 10 mg dose, ideally, you'd want to wait at least 4 half lives (84-216 hours)...the rule of thumb is 3-5 half-lives for elimination of a drug. Another issue is that 5-HT2A antagonists (e.g. olanzapine) have the unusual effect of down-regulating 5-HT2A receptors (i.e. in addition to blocking LSD at the receptor, they will cause tolerance to LSD the same way LSD does)...so you may want to wait longer to get the full effect. Regardless of tolerance and drug interaction effects, it's wise to space out psychedelic use...I'd recommend waiting at least a month between trips to get the most out of it.

p.s. I get that you tried olanzapine to see what it was like, but why take it a second time?

hmmm, very interesting.

May I ask you why you think it's wise to space trips out? What would be your opinion on somebody not sobering up for a week or two simply for the reason that it's fun and reality is boring? I have been taking DXM consistently over the last few days, and I came up on two blotters of lsd last night. Strangely though, I still have not come down from the lsd fully?? What could be going on? The second blotter was taken about 23 hours ago. The trip was quite strange in that it wasn't very visual considering it was about 500ug estimated. I am not experiencing much by way of normal lsd effects but I'm still buzzing. I have and will sleep. I took 188mg of DXM this afternoon cos I wanted to feel like robocop. I still do feel like robocop of course.

p.s. I get that you tried olanzapine to see what it was like, but why take it a second time?

First time, I took 10mg and it just knocked me out, second time 5mg....and nothing, then another 5 and knocked out. I'm considering getting seroquel to abort potential bad trips going forward considering it's shorter half life. I did not realize how long the half life of olanzapine was until after I had taken the second dose. I only researched the half life after failing to come up on some blotters.
