Hi I will be trying LSD very soon, and would like to know what it is like based on experienced users?

NO price talk is allowed here.
Read Erowid trip reports to get an idea of what it's like.
LSD is very special, give yourself lots of time when you plan for it. Try to be well rested, in a comfortable and positive place, physically well, mentally well before you go into it. Have fun, use your breathing if it ever gets to be overwhelming.

IDK you should see morphing and your perceptions changing along with perhaps colour distortions along with a feeling of euphoria.
The psychedelic experience is different for every person and can be so vastly different even from experience to experience.
No one can accurately describe to you exactly what you should experience, it's very subjective

lsd is enhancer,if u are curious daydreaming audiophile the lsd turns city into art to be seen,a music with vibes into story... u will remember and think about every single memory in your brain,u will remember everything bad, everything u fear,u face it,embrace it and come out forever changed to better.

but thats me,if u happen due to dna, enviromental factors and lifestyle to be a dumb ass idiot, then u probably get psychosis, bad trip and generaly do bunch of stupid shit then cry about bad trip and how bad lsd is

acid is like mirror,if u are healthy and smart it takes u to heaven and beyond,if u are unhealthy, weak and stupid it takes u to hospital

Hi and welcome to PD / Bluelight! <3

We have a very special thread dedicated to this question:

LSD - what is it like?

You are still very welcome to ask questions, though it is preferred you use the dedicated thread. If you are satisfied with this, please let us know so that you can reply and continue in said thread. :) Thanks!
May you have glorious and bright LSD trips in your future.

Almost impossible to answer. Also, my first trip was nothing like my hundreds of trips after. Some sure things you'll notice are:

Elevated mood (stay positive, if it gets scary, remember its just hallucinations and it will stop)
Morphing and swirling of moving of stationary objects. (intensity depending on dose in ug you take)
closed eye visuals (patterns)
Colors will appear more vivid
You may see a "webbing" of color that seems to cover everything
A feeling of "connectiveness" (I get this a lot on LSD)
Giddiness
Definite body high similar to MDMA or bkMDMA
You may have some confusion and disassociation but must likely not.

You will NOT, however, see things that arent there like they portray in movies (mushrooms of random colors, pink bunnies, etc). That's all crap unless you do a massive dose. I would recommend you do 100-125 ug to start off. Any more than that will probably be too intense if you don't have experience tripping. If you dont know what the ug is on each hit, play it safe and just do 1. Cause if you do 2 and the ug was at 200, then you just took 400 and you may be overwhelmed. But if youre getting true LSD from a reliable source then you should know the ug of each dose. Have fun and be safe!

^ thats not exactly true. If you rose high enough object/entities that are not in attendance while in concensus reality will appear. For example, I have seen Hindu Gods, female spirits, animals made of energy, aliens ect all while on 'heroic doses' of psychedelics. It's rare but when you get to the higher levels things become tricky and you can not distinguish what's normal and what has been unveiled or created by the psychedelic. Whether or not they are real is impossible to answer, at least in my opinion, because italy b possible that sensing these objects/beings is only possible while under the influence. I don't necessarily believe they are real, but I'll bet $1,000,000 that you could never sway my belief that I met the aliens on 1mg LSD and 70mg intranasal 2C-T-2. Nothing could.

Take the zen approach! Let everything come and pass without putting too muh emotional weight on the momentary experience. Each trip is a question mark, that's my rule. You never know what's going to happen, let everything come and pass. Ecstacy and despair are both to be experienced in the moment, not to be longed after.

Tripping is all about Zen and Dzogchen.

LSD is like, Hm? Well its always different really. I feel the first times, assuming its good quality lucy, can be like jumping off a diving board into a pool of psychedelia. Your more immersed in the world around you. You feel an energetic giddiness on the come-up, an anxious feeling. Then I notice visually things to be more "fluid", to have a shifting movement to it. Then, you start thinking more deeply about things, you question things you take for granted. Its hard to explain lol. I feel like its somewhat different after you've dosed enough times, not in a bad way, its just that the place is more familiar and inviting and the consciousness expansion happens easily, especially while at festivals or shows, you become immersed in the connected-ness that you have with every one/thing and its truly magical when sharing that experience with those around you (especially festivals where you surf the cosmos with 100-100,000 other tripping people!). It took me a while to be comfortable dosing and being around people i didn't know or be in public but it passes. Im not even going to pretend to be an expert, I know many who have dosed well into the 1000's of times, me only the 100's. And I've had some terribly difficult experiences and have vowed to never do psychedelics again but still came back. Be prepared to have the most blissfully exhilarating experience as well as the most horrifying painful experience. I've had times where it took me weeks to convince myself my girlfriend is not possessed by a demon. You also start to view life from more of a psychedelic standpoint, which I enjoy. Obviously these are my subjective experiences, yours will be your own, happy adventuring!

Thanatos,

I know, I said that it doesn't occur unless you take a high dose. A normal starting dose (100-125ug) will not make things appear there that are not.

800-1000mcg is beyond heroic.

I'd recommend 100mcg as a good place to start. You'll have a greater appreciation for beauty, and will see beauty in things that you didn't see before. Your consciousness will feel like it has expanded and exploring your mind is a lot easier. You may feel things (emotions, and beyond) that you've never felt before. It's like you've become a new born child exploring a brand new world, and with it is its excitements and fears.

Very well put, DOB! I totally agree.... I have a quite sufficient amount of experience with lsd and most psychadelics. And I have always believed that the user must have a positive, open-minded attitude, while also maintaining control (or lack thereof) of the mind and realizing that you are not a slave to a drug, you are the one in control of the journey, and LSD is simply a tour-guide that you have hired to point out the details of the journey ~in vivid clearity~....:D

Well those doses are still rather low. 800mics-1mg+ are where shit gets real. Ever been puddled?

i agree, the best trip i ever had when i dosed most, that is 9 blotters.... at one point,u know, the dots u see in dark, your brain polygons that make together your vision,at one point all these dots were jumping in harmony with each other to music. considering threres thousands of them and that i can normaly hardly concentrate on more than one thing,it was ridiculous

i would recommend two doses. better off getting a slightly stronger trip than a trip that leaves you wanting. you get a better feel for the substance, and will respect it more.

everyone in this thread is talking about visuals, but the visuals arent what you need to be prepared for. the psychedelia is what you need to be prepared for. its not like dreaming, its not much like weed...its hard to give an analogous experience to someone who hasnt tried psychedelics. you have to be willing to "let go" of everything. everything you know know and have believed. on normal doses of psychedelics people have lost ability to tell where they are, who they are and what they are. LSD trips vary from trip to trip in its content, strength and effect on the users mind. many, many people have had their core beliefs challenged after these experiences. it is common for users to have religious or spiritual epiphanies on these drugs. it is that powerful.

the single most important thing is to just let the drug do what it does, let it take over. do NOT fight it. go with the flow. if you just stay in that mindset you will most likely have an awesome time.

Ever been puddled?

Do you mean a love puddle as in hippy euphemism for orgy? Or approximating the supposed 'saturation point', soaking the receptors in acid?
(Because I have felt the latter and it made me feel like I was completely liquid, it also allowed me to travel through real and fabricated memories, some of which long lost - multidimensional timetravel FTW!)

Be prepared to interpret situations and conversations in a new and strange way you've never experienced before. Objects will morph and change, and everything will take on a more colorful and more beautiful/terrifying character. Also be prepared for all of your personal demons to come to the top of your conscience, and be ready to accept yourself, or else things can turn sour. Just remember, it's just a drug and it will wear off, albeit after several long hours.

Greetings to you all!
Its my first post. I am not really the guy for long introductions - male, 30 years, from Germany -. One reason for joining is to improve my english writing skills ..... so if you see any major gramatical erorrs, PLEASE reveal them to me, if possible.......... Thanks in advance!

On topic: I personally dont think i have to push it as far as i can with psychedelics. Therefore i have very limited experience with strong doses. But a lot with low to mid doses. As its your first time, I guess you will seek more a modest trip.

I think the most importent thing with tripping is the set and setting. Nobody will know how you will react to Lsd. For me it was part of the magic, to find it out! Its very hard to describe the effects of drugs with words - try to explain your grandma, how you feel on weed -and with psycedelic drugs its even harder. People tend to stick to the visual side of the trip, but like the poster above already mentioned, that is by far not the main part of the trip. Its way more then seeing "funny" things. It could be about feeling "weird" "confused" "strange" and "enlightend" at the same time. Its so hard to describe, because its a very emotional and subjective thing.

From my experience the set and setting is essential for a good trip. Plan 12 hours for the trip and a day after, where you have not much to do then enjoy your self.

Lets say the trip has three parts:

In the beginning you will be nervous waiting for the trip to work. Maybe even a little bit anxious, because you don't know what will happen. There is this period of time where you are not fully sure, if the blotter has started. Then there is the point where you cant deny its there and its getting stronger and stronger. For this period, its from my experince its best to be in a friendly and safe environment. Like beeing at home with some good friends.

Once you are full on the trip and got some feeling of confidence with the situation, you can start doing things. Like going out in the nature or whatever you enjoy doing. From my experience, its by the mental side the most stressless part. For example, I had many encounters with police while "full on" lsd and it was a lot easier to handle, then being on cannabis or even sober.

Then you will notice that the effects will start slowly to disappear. There will be a time, where you might think its gone. But it isnt and your mind has not had time to workout the experience. During this period its again important to have a comfortable set and setting. I personaly have a hard time to find sleep, when my mind has a lot of input to deal with.

So dont care of how the experience will be. Just take care that the set and setting is alright, let it go and see whats happening. But only do it if you feel mental stable!
