I have done MDMA many times now, and I have noticed something.
Say I need about 120mg to get rolling nicely. Some days I have done a 120-130mg dose, followed by 2 redoses of 40-80mg. This way I get a nice peak, but the redoses don''t increase this peak.
I have much better experience however starting of with a dose wich does not really get me rolling first (so half a pill of 180mg) but just makes me have a nice feeling, and then eating the other half one and a half hours later. This almost every time garantees a strong roll half an hour (so at T2:00) after I dropped the second half. The peak is stronger than when I take the same amount, but taking 120mg and then 60mg at 1,5 hours). Ofcourse you can also take 160-180mg all at once, but this is a very intense come-up and you might puke.

In this topic:

I quote:
I'm not too sure of taking it a few days before, but I once took a small amount at around 11am, didn't feel much apart from a little bit of jitters and chattiness... then at around 6pm took the same amount and I started rolling hard! I was grinding my teeth, unable to sit still, eye wobbles, slight visual distortion, ridiculous empathy! haha, great experience, but have no idea why
This is quite the same apart from the longer time in between doses.
So it seems that when you take a sub-roll dose of MDMA (so say you need 120mg normally, take 80mg) and then some time later the same dose, you roll really hard with a really smooth come-up. It seems that a sub-roll dose does hardly downregulate the receptors or even upregulates them, so this should give a better roll:
-80mg followed by 80mg 1-1,5 hours later

than
-120mg followed by 40mg 1-1,5 hours later.

At least in my experience. I have done it many times now (also too much yes), but I have noticed that all my great rolls, I started with a relatively low starter dose, instead of a large dose at once followed by a 1/3 booster.

So did anyone else notice this as well? I always see people here telling your first dose needs to be high enough, small boosters wont bring you higher. I don''t agree, this is indeed the case when you take a dose wich gets you rolling, but when you take a dose wich does not make you roll and trigger the huge serotonin release, it''s not true.
I wonder if it''s only me having this or...?

Very well explained, I have only just started experimenting with different dosages but I completely agree with you.

I used to have 150mg as my starter dose and then a top up of 50-100mg 30 minutes - 1 hour later and I'd be rolling for a good 3-5 hours about 20 minutes after my first dose.

Recently, however, I have been taking 80-100mg starter dose and then a top up of 100-150mg and my god, I have such a huge rush through my whole back as I'm coming up which lasts about 20 minutes and I'll be rolling for around 4-7 hours (:

EDIT: When i first starting rolling I would dab off 300-500mg as a starter dose and sometimes have a top-up of 100-200mg < that used to be amazing!
I don't dare take doses any higher than 150mg as my starter dose any longer.
