Had a fairly heavy md sesh from midnight saturday through till sunday 1pm but stayed up till 10pm (for sleeping pattern reasons). I popped a val (10mg) before bed too.
I was thinking of hitting the gym today. I usually swim about 30 lengths + its a pretty tough workout for me. I was just wondering if that's advisable because im feeling md'd over + lethargic etc, but when im done i usually feel great. Will it be too big of a strain on my heart or anything?

I'd personally give it a rest today, as I have more so to let your body rest and recover. I usually tell people this, try doing what you did without the MDMA and see how tired you get and how quickly, you just dont feel it on MDMA and you keep going, even more so if you had amp/meth or it was in your pill. If you consumed meth keep in mind its half life is 12 hours (12 hours from a certain point, the dose of meth will be half of what it currently is at that point).

From a health perspective if you are fit and healthy already I cant see this causing any harm.

You may have a slightly increased heart rate but if it feels right then minimal risk.

This question I think is really down to you and how you feel.

I dont disagree with Molly I think he has a point also. I would say this is a 50:50 thing.

When I used to take E I was very into fitness so would always run and go to the gym the day after raves etc.

I always felt better after forcing myself to go. I think a good work out and sweat is a good body cleansing process any time regardless of drugs or not. Swimming would also be a good workout.

The experience in the gym was always a little spacey but I enjoyed it none the less

MollyFein does also have a point about the meth. There would be a slight chance you could over exercise. Most gyms have good heart monitoring facilities on most of the equipment. Much modern day equipment will warn you if your heart rate gets too fast something to be aware of if you choose to go.

In terms of reducing neurotoxity, how it might influence metobolizm, reducing half life of the drugs etc I suspect it would probabley help out a little but I couldnt be certain of this.

Certainly an interesting question. I would be interested to hear views from other members.

I'd say do it 100%! Infact I recommend it to reducing comedowns, like you said
when i'm done I usually feel great.

In order for muscles to contract and move the brain recruits neurotransmitters to fire into muscles and tell them what to do. Therefore, as physiological intensity increases as does CNS stimulation. This CNS stimulation increases concentrations of neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, norephinedrine etc) in the synapse at that present moment thus giving you a mood lift. Also, it then stimulates the production of more neurotransmitters and a potential up-regulation effect can occur over time.

IMO, the risk of adverse exercise reactions are no larger than a usual session with no MDMA prior as your heart has returned to relative homeostasis the next day and is no longer stimulated by the MDMA.

Keep your body fit and inturn keep your brain fit.

This is usually what I do, just consider it a rest day and get your protien and water intake in. I'm usually can't get back to my old routine for about 10 days after the roll. Weights seem to be the same, but my rep count is usually 2-3 less per set. But the cardio does get all the toxins out of your system:)

I always workout the following days. Just make sure you get enough sleep and don't overdo it on the weights.
