Positive Exercise 4 Health, Mental Health and Addiction vs. Pure & Free

I did 3 sets of 50lbs dumbbell curls, 3 sets of 60lbs tricep extensions, 3 sets of 60lbs hammer curls, 3 sets of 60lbs dumbbell rows and 3 sets of 40lbs dumbbell presses.

My arms are dead lol

lol, I started cycling again a few weeks ago, went from 5km to 10, to 30, 40, 50 and now 70. took me more than a few hours though, maybe a bit much, but I can't do heavy lifting after my neck injury started flaring up again, so whatever, just legs and cardio is good too. you guys are lifting 50 pound dumbells and I can only do half of that right now or something, too much and I'm out for weeks to months depending on severity, which is no fun, can finally move my neck to the left again now. the hurt in my ass is gone already, lmao, but it's mainly due to a shitty bike seat, need to change it if I'm going to be sitting on it for that long, don't want to spend money on that though, so yeah, lol.

I lifted some weights again without injuring my neck yesterday, fucking finally. Going to take a damn ride on the bicycle again because I'm manic and haven't slept in a fucking day and am still not tired. Need to get rid of all this energy.

Need to buckle down and tear some muscle fiber for real this time.

Secrets to doing so? I think PA has this on lock.

Just have to summon the energy, somehow, despite meds that slow me down a ton.

do you have drop bar or riser/flat? I got whiplash few years ago and I have some pains sometimes with ~7 cm saddle-to-flatbar drop. I am intending to get modern gravel, with drop bar of course, at some point, to make my personal record endurance travel.

Today i did 3 sets of 50lbs dumbbell bicep curls, 3 sets of 60lbs tricep extensions, 3 sets of 60lbs hammer curls, 3 sets of 60lbs dumbbell rows and 3 sets of 40lbs dumbbell presses.

Just make the commitment, make it a priority for your life, not an accessory to it. I know if I go more than a week without doing any exercise now, I start to get depressed. I honestly don't know how I managed before. Even when the garage is literally ice cold in winter, those couple of hours of working out a week stop me from going bonkers and reaching for substances.

It has been years so I can't remember my mind state at the beginning, I do remember I struggled more with the eating part than the exercising (I was borderline anorexic). Even when I can't be fucking arsed, even when I'm cursing through a session because I'm that lethargic, at the end of it I always feel better for it. The only exception to that is what an injury prevents me from completing something.

The first month is the hardest or atleast it was for me. Now i dont know how i did without working out. I am doing so much better then say 5 years ago when i had just gotten out of the psych ward and i was fat as fuck at 225lbs. Now im 200lbs of mostly muscle and im on test now so i should gain more muscle.

There is definitely something to the adage that it takes a month to build a new habit. Once you get to that auto-pilot stage, those doubting thoughts that try to rationalize you out of doing it have less to grab on to.

I think for those who want the secret; is just do, trust the process, and consistency.

Today i did 3 sets of 50lbs dumbbell bicep curls, 3 sets of 60lbs tricep extensions, 3 sets of 60lbs hammer curls, 3 sets of 40lbs incline bicep curls ad 3 sets of 40lbs dumbbell presses. Just started doing incline bicep curls and they are sure making my biceps burn.

I need heavier weights. Hopefully i can get some in the new year.
