Opioids Excess of adrenaline when getting clean off opioids

Hey all,
Lately I've been trying to put some reduction into my long time opioid habit. Aside from the withdrawals, which have been a familiar level of hellish, I've been experiencing this feeling of high blood pressure (even when my blood pressure reads totally fine), and excess adrenaline. I'm unsure what it really is or how to fix it. I take 0.2mg clonidine every day during the withdrawal period until it starts to subside around day 5, but every time I've tried to clean up since late August, the adrenaline lasts well into the 2-3 week mark and I always end up giving in and using again because the feeling is so intense and uncomfortable. It feels like my body is having a panic attack constantly, but my mind is really at ease for the most part (as much as it can be while getting clean, that is.) I'm no stranger to panic attacks and physical anxiety, but this feels different since there really isn't much of a reason why I feel this way. I'm wondering if anybody has experienced the same thing or if anybody has any advice. It almost feels like a backlog of anxiety/adrenaline that hasn't been worked out since I've been using nearly every day for a while. Hope you all are doing well for this holiday season. Wherever you are in your timeline of recovery or use, keep hope. Thanks a ton
