Hi,

My names Owain and I used to moderate BDD on bluelight a number of years ago (under the alias oenowen_mk2, since removed) before my chaotic lifestyle meant I did a rude and regretted disappearing act. Well, I'm back again to try and spread the harm reduction message and gain some support for myself.

Once again I am an opiate addict, and I'm currently on 80mg methadone per day, dropping to 70mg on my next script. Never done this state addiction thing before so looking for some help, and I'm thinking about getting myself in to some for of CBT as I'm beginning to admit I have some stuff I need to get to the root of. Definitely looking for peoples experiences on the types of therapy that helped them in relation to drug dependancy and all it's connotations.

So, that's me. 24 years old, ex benzodiazepine addict, ex ketamine addict, relapsed opiate addict. I like to think of myself as well read and relatively sharp but then again don't we all.

So that's it, I'm back. I'm here to really push the message of harm reduction and to hopefully receive some support and guidance from the trusted veterans this site has to offer to guide me through my detox.

Once again, I would like to apologise profusely to those I let down with the abandonment of my moderater duties in BDD, but I was in a bad place at the time and it fell off the priorities list very quickly.

Thanks for listening,
Owain

Welcome :)
Hey man, shit happens. Bluelight is a constant,of that you can be assured. I have had my own bought w/ opiates-twice-and although my current condition is "pain" my memories of what I went through to get off opiates keeps me away. NOT a judgement call on you-just my own-"I feel ya" touch.
Well being an ex-mod,you know the rules-might not hurt to brush up on them ;) Lot of new things going on all over the site. This is a great time to join bc the "helladays" can be a real slap in the face. You know that you have friends and support and help-all you have to do is want it.;)
Really glad you are here...as always feel free to PM me or ANY staff member w/ problems or questions. As you know,we are here to help :D

Much peace and love..........................skillz <3

Welcome back mate!

As you would no doubt already know that it's a great place to ask for support etc etc, check out The Dark Side :)

What about newb support ;)

More than likely I was not around when you were modding the BDD but WB :)

I dont know the terms or situation that happened (dont want to know as the past is the past and all that jazz) that made you leave but its good that your back with a fresh face even if your eyes are a little weary.

Im a nice person tho (I think, I am a bit rough around the edges but....) and if you ever need to talk to someone, you can drop me a PM or hit me up on AIM if ya want. I am usually around. Hope you can keep getting yourself sorted and dont forget to drop by the BDD Social Thread :)

Peace.

To my absolute shame, I just disappeared unannounced when real life got on top of me (heroin and benzos), and I didn't come back from shame for a long time.:(

I'm here to continue spreading harm reduction (I'm really moving towards a drug free life) and receive help with my own issues. I returned relatively recently and my old omenowen_mk2 account was good to go and given bluelight crew status, but has since been deleted. Any chance I could get bluelight crew recognition for this account (it's registered to the same email address that the one that was canceled was registered too so you know it's me).

Anyway, it's good to be back

It probably depends on why your old account was deleted?? I'm not sure on procedure for this type of instance. Eventually staff will figure something out for you. :)

Welcome back!! I'm new as you can see. I'm a green lighter and it's harder to get to 50 post than I thought. I only take lorcet and Xanax.

Hi, omenowen, I hope you will take Joshe's suggestion about posting on TDS. It's great to hear from folks that are working out their issues and going towards a drug free life. C'mon over!:)

Welcome back Omenowen. I think you must have been before my time, it sounds like you were quite a prominent member...Though I take it you're going to be using your old account again now that Cane found it.

The road to bluelighter status is a long and treacherous one. It is a test of endurance, enthusiasm and worth. Many a greenlighter has gone missing along the road, never to be seen again, their accounts lost to the ether.

Some scheming greenlighters even attempt to blitz their way to 50 posts by spamming the forums with short, useless posts. However, the forces that be are all seeing, all powerful and wise to such antics. These spamming greenlighters are banished in spirit, but not in body. Only their lifeless usernames remain, serving no purpose other than as a stark warning to others hoping to do the same.

etc etc etc...
Yeah I'm bored 8)

It's all true though.

Haha! Thanks! Like the OP, I just try to participate, learn, and help others as I can. I still make some BS posts here and there (like this one) but who doesn't?

Also I have alot of time at work.

I have successfully derailed this thread by trying to rationalize my "spamming" and post whoring habits. I will stop now :)
