Do you experience stronger effects from psychedelics than before you tried MDMA?

So there have been some studies (like this one: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11850153) that have shown an up-regulation of 5-HT2A receptors in ex-MDMA users. These users have been demonstrated to have a higher density of 5-HT2A receptors in the brain than people who have never consumed MDMA.

So I was curious as to if this has had observable effects in anyone. Has anyone noticed that while they became more tolerant to MDMA they became less tolerant to psychedelics? Do any of you need significantly lower doses of psychedelics than you did prior to your MDMA use?

Not had any effect.

I do find taking psychedelics the day after MDMA to be a waste of time tho - just doesn't seem to work much at all.

I won't take the survey because this doesn't technically count. However, I have noticed that I am somewhat more sensitive to psychedelics after regularly using MDAI and 4-FA. On the other hand, I was actually wondering if this effect would occur so maybe it's just placebo.

i never really was a heavy user of mdma, and i've never felt any difference. when i did a lot of dmt however i noticed that i needed much less of any other psychedelic and even mdma would be much more psychedelic with intense oev's.

I answered yes... I never put any thought into it, but it was never until I abused the shit out of MDMA that my trips started becoming extremely introspective and profound. There was a period of time where I would dose liquid LSD once a week and received entity-contact and near ++++ experiences every time..... now I only dose every month or two, but when I do I'm almost guaranteed a ++++ and life changing experience

So, yes. I'd sure say that I trip a LOT harder now, but I only tripped a couple of times before all that ecstasy abuse, so I can't say for sure if it was caused by this.

So every month or two you change your way of living because lsd thaugt you?
Considering the mess mdma leaves behind, instability always intensifies a trip.
Up-regulation isn't the point, there are permanent alterations to the serotonin network by lovely mdma... Mdma abuse redefines tripping.

former heavy user, and no, no intensity difference

but as someone else mentioned, DMT on the other hand, has made everything a lot more reactive
