Hey, no need to apologise - I was just confused (not difficult) - here's an explanation written by Chriscim (its in our FAQ forum)
Bumping
Ok, before everyone ask what those messages that people have that say nothing but bump, I will tell you.
When someone puts in the word bump as their message, it means that they are bumping it back to the top. See, when someone replies to a message, it goes to the top of the message list in the forum. So when someone "bumps" a message, they are shamelessly bringing their message or whoevers message back to the top of the list.
You could also see 'A guide to Bluelight acronyms' in the New 2 XTC archive.

Anyway, before tj-e bumped this thread, no-one had posted a reply for months, so the thread was on page 25 or something - and no-one would see it there. So by 'bumping' it it gets returned to the top of page 1, so everyone will see it and hopefully read it.
(In case you hadn't noticed, the forum sorts threads by date of reply, so the last thread to be posted in will be at the top).

Thanks... I can see that some people get pretty hostile if you ask a question that can be found elsewhere. I can't, however, find the guide to acronyms in the "new to XTC" archive. I checked all 9 pages...maybe I just overlooked it? help??
