Re: carefull whut yoo say.

As far as updates on Dave I can get em'. All I have to do is make a phone call. I said be carefull whut yoo say cuz i personally dont
think its ne ones place *including mine* to be posting updates on Dave. Ashlie *daveslilsis* n *samantha* are here to do so n thats
that. I myself have recieved some info on Dave *some good and some bad* but i have chose not to post it outa RESPECT for both Dave as well as his family! I know whut Daves mindset is right now, I know the DANGERS that he still faces, I know certain things
that I again REFUSE to post here. I dont wanna get any ones hopes up and I dont want to tear em down either. Again it has everything to do w. RESPECT!

As i said I can get updates on Dave but will NOT post em' w/out his families permission period!

*curious* In posting whut yoo did do yoo realize that yoo have got every single person on this boards hopes up? The one and only thing I will reveal without his families permission *which I hope is okie*is that Dave is far from being outa the woods yet. It takes a long time to recover from something like this. This must be noted by everyone here. His fight is not yet over. We all must come to grips w/this.

Daves still in my thoughts everyday and i wish him a speedy recovery! :)

You honestly made my mind hurt trying to decipher all your gibber jabber. "Yoo"? "Whut"? I know you probably think it’s cute to babble incoherently like a moron, but I, and many others find it very annoying. The only excuse you possibly may have for speaking that way is if you're thirteen; if this is the case, you shouldn't even be on this board.

then why did he delete it???

his dad says he's doing alot better and is at a nursing home.

He *did* delete it for that reason (so as not to encourage others). He posted to that effect in the Mod hideout, and I deleted the IV post from the FAQ forum, as per his request. He said he would re-write it in a way that emphasised safety and tried to encourage people not to take up IV.

And thank God that he's OK. Curious Cub, you really made me smile with that post. I'm sure you'll be passing on best wishes from everyone on BL :)

curiouscub thank you so much for the update. i'm glad to hear that dave is doing better. i was wondering what the current status was. two weeks ago a good friend of mine od'd on oxycontins and alcohol. he was in coma, but we thought he would make it. unfortunetley he had a stroke and died on friday. so i'm just glad that one of my friends has pulled through. i can't handle losing another friend.

dave passes time at the home by smoking --grr. that's not an aid to a massive recovery. he sounds fully capable of thought and speech at this point. he said nothing about his drug usage is going to change because of this incident. i don't fully know how he recieves the dedications on this thread, but its not in the most positive light, but that's for him to elaborate on.

IRIE, i don't want to personally converse on dave anywhere but this forum and im pretty much done with doing it here as it is, as there's nothing more for me to say unless a drastic change occurs with his health care which concerned BLers would want to know about, which at this rate is not happening as he's under quality rehabilitating care. i was doing this update as a favor to those out of reach with dave, but this isn't my responsibility. those who took time to know him him should be able to reach him, or they can contact his confidantes personally to reach him.
And this deal about permission to post his recovery updates --his close confidantes have given out their numbers early on in this thread, so permission about anything was never an issue. i don't know why you're tripping out over that.

i asked -- he deleted the IV guide because he thought BL wasn't deserving of it and had intended it for the now defunct ODU forum.

hm............

Yes. Curious Cub is right. But it really doesn't matter right now. And if you don't believe him or i, where did Dave's Oxycontin FAQ go??? And i am aware some one copied and pasted it with a few edits on this board.

Is he at home then? I have his home number and want to give him a call...

looking good

I was able to get in contact with Daves Dad today. According to him Dave is able to now drink water and eat solid food on his own. This to me is GREAT news! It REALLY brightened up my day. FYI: I did ask permission of Daves dad to post this and he said it was fine by him. Yet another thing that brightened up my day is hearing daves dad tell me how dave would really like me to get in contact w/him at the nursing home. Dave evidently told his father to give me the # to speak w/him directly. I now have it, however,
I havent used it as of *yet*. Perhaps I'll call tommorow?

I CANT WAIT TO HEAR HIS VOICE ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE. One of the MANY things that i MISS bout not having dave around is the convos he n I used to have. He n I have LOTSA catching up to do. LOTS has happened to me *both good n bad* ever since this happened to him. I been through ALOT of shit just as he has. So I would expect we'd have something in common to talk about *grins*. I MISS HIM n im not kidding when i say that he has honest to GOD been in my thoughts EVERY DAY! I CANT WAIT TILL' TOMMOROW! :)

*DUES* Outa ALL the threads out there for yoo..err.. I meen YOU and *AYRIOS* to be complaining about my spelling yoo..err.. I meen YOU just HAD to pick this one eh'? PLEASE! This thread thus
far has been COMPLETELY dedicated to DAVES RECOVERY until yoo..err..I meen YOU and *AYRIOS* started to nit pick. I really would like to see the topic of this thread STAY on Dave, prayers that NO DOUBT HAVE BEEN ANSWERED, miracles that NO DOUBT HAVE HAPPENED, and Daves family and friends that have been there for him 24/7. Rather than seeing this topic stray to both yoo
..err.. I meen YOU and *AYRIOS* fussing about my spelling. Just in case yoo..errr sorie, YOO havent noticed EVERY bluelighters thoughts, prayers, and optimism has helped Dave *a good friend of mine by the way* in his recovery DISPITE ne typos or errors. The focus here should be on DAVE not on whether I spell *whut* or *yoo* right blah! Oh n by the way. I'm not thirteen, FAR from it actually. I am however, practically right outa surgery that involved
four pins from shattering my wrist. So. #1. Typing one handed is far from easy and I will take ne shortcut thats available yo me and
#2. Even before my surgery I typed yoo as *you* and whut as *what*. BIG FRIKKAN DEAL! Yoo..erm..YOU should try it sometime its so much easier. *note: really dont meen to be coming off as being so harsh. in pain now and all pain-meded up*

*CURIOUS* I completely understand where yoo..erm..I meen YOU
are coming from about not wanting to converse ne more about Dave unless there is a drastic change in his health *please note that i corrected my spelling just so dues, ayrios and canada wont gripe about it ne more*. Funnie thing, yoo mentioned whut i wanted to talk to yoo..err..I meen YOU through PM *again note I corrected for dues, ayrios and canada*. I guess yoo *not going to correct this time* already knew that Daves outlook on opiates has not changed, dispite this incident. This NOT good! I found this info out from Ashlie *daveslilsis* and I guess found it to be not my place to post this info without her permission *shrugs*. I was REALLY hoping that Dave would learn from this mistake and choose LIFE over DRUGS/OPIATES. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way *I always do* . Unfortunately tho it seems to me that Dave has not taken this asa learning experience? I dont know I could be wrong. I actually hope that I am. At ne rate im starting to nod off here. Time for nighnight.'

Again Dave=In my thoughts n prayers EVERYDAY!

this isn't about a learning experience. he is an addict, shit like this is expected. it's gradual suicide. This is what self-annihilation is. Shit like this happening to dave --is this suppose to be a surprise? this event was not a matter of if it could happen, it was a matter of when it would. everytime i spoke with him he was either recovering from a high, on the verge of an oncoming high, or in one.
there is no future upswing of addiction --it just worsens. hell yes it's sad to watch, but look at the society as a whole that enables, condones, and slyly encourages it. That's what's really fuckin sad.

OK, thanks. That's not *quite* how he phrased it when he asked for it to be deleted from the FAQ forum - but I guess he figured 'please remove this, I don't want to encourage others' is better than 'please remove this, you losers don't deserve it' ;)

Thanks once again for the updates, they are appreciated - even by those of us, like me, who only knew Phreex for his posts on BL.

that was the EXACT phrasing dave gave me over the phone. He did NOT refer to BL members as losers nor implied that any of them are--he simply meant they weren't deserving of it.

From my impression of this, it seems that he thought BLers would spoil it, or would not appreciate it and end up taking it for granted. It appears that it was something he valued considerably and didn't want to see it taken as frivolous or cheapened by people merely looking for a guide to enhance a careless, weekend joyride. Since this site is so public and massively used, it's impossible to screen the serious members from the troll members, so i can see why he would be disheartened to offer a support manual to people who could easily be or become ungrateful and unappreciatve of the fact that quality support is/was there whenever they needed it.

^^ I agree, but what is worse, is a society that facilitates it by spending tens of thousands of dollars to save his wasted ass.

It's a cycle. We waste money on the wasted by funding those who can't pay their own bills for their own fuck-ups, but those fuck-ups are what keep the economy thriving. doctors get well paid for treating them. and then of course who makes the drugs they buy, and encourages them they should use them? who makes money from buying the drugs marketed to sell to those who want them? who makes money from busting those who deal the drugs they buy? it obviously is structured this way so that everyone from some angle profits. cuz that's what it's all about: profit. if the cop is getting paid overtime for monitering some crack-haven street corner, why would he kill the activity there when he himself is getting paid to moniter it? if he shuts it down, the dealers just scrounge along to a hidden spot, and he loses that extra profit because there's nothing to moniter anymore.
who hurts the most and doesn't get paid? the average tax-payer who doesn't want to be affiliated with perpetuating the cycle; they just happen to be part of it, trying to survive, and are usually so jammed with trying to survive (overworked) that they don't have any time to try to break the cycle.

No amount of money spent on a human life is a waste.

the point was it's a waste to try to save lives of those who don't WANT lives, who make no effort to save their own lifes or ask for intervention to get help to figure out that they should save their lives. Who is an example of one who makes an effort to show they want a life? refugees, especially children

How can a drug user be undeserving of information on the safer use of drugs? This is the most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard. A careless weekend joyride... Would it be better suited for the hardcore potential addicts of another site?

I feel the same way you do.

Many BL mods are annoyed with, "the newbies"or whatever you want to call them...not referring to someone who is new because of recently registered status, but someone who doesn't value the info. they're given. An example of this is people refusing to use the search engine before they question and demand info. Or opening a new thread to question why their thread was closed instead of following guidelines and emailing a mod about it. Incidents like this could easily give the impression that these people aren't deserving of something as valued as this guide. Do i disagree with this reasoning if it is actually true to his own? Hell yes, because i don't believe ANYONE should be denied healthy info, and i especially don't trust the judgement of a user's personality based on their posts alone! But i am LOOKING through his perspective based on the personality traits of dave that i am aware of. And he isn't the most *OPENLY* fair, sociable or caring person i've met.

already knew that Daves outlook on opiates has not changed, dispite this incident. This NOT good!

Outta all the junkies I have known and know not one of them have used an OD as stepping stone to sobriety. Not one. Sad? Yup... Once a junky always a junky.

goood luck phreex
