That is such great news Samantha........it really flipped me out when Dommer told me the outlook wasn't good. A glistening ray of re-assurance that someone is on his side from above has been placed with us today and I, for one, and SO VERY THANKFUL!

So much is depending on Dave's outcome. There only reason i basically use to come to bluelight was because of him.
I took great honor having countless conversations with Dave and he had actually shared some things with me that he had not shared with anyone else.
Time and time again i tried to tell him that there is a life for him without opiates. He always refused and stated he tried living without them and life was just lame. I highly doubt this was a suicide attempt because for one sadly he had talked about if the time would come where he would commit suicide he had a special method and this did not include any opiates whatsoever, and two i don't think would stoop to that selfish level without posting a good bye to his fellow bluelighters and family friends.
Dave impacted so many lives and had the capability to do anything he put his mind too. There was mere proof earlier in his life with his college scholarships. This is one of the main reasons i tried to shy Dave away from opiates. IF he simply tried to succeed at anything he wanted he could do it. He was honestly smarter than any doctor I have met and really had the brain of endless ability.
One thing some of us do not know that may have aided to Dave's stress in life was he was diagnosed with Non/Hodkins cancer a while back. I think this gave reason for him not to try and advance in life. One thing will make clear to all drug users out there that choose it as a everyday activity is you will never reach your "peak" in life. Dave climbed very high on the mountain of life but opiates just kept making him fall down and not reach his goal. If Dave would have reached his peak I think the whole world would have known about it because he was such a great person.
Dave had a very big impact in my life and countless other people. He tought me the awareness, love, and dangers that can come with drug use. He was the main influence and reason i have stopped using opiates mostly oxycontin. Yes opiates are a beautiful thing (tears are starting to fall) but they are no crutch to have in life. No matter what drug counselor the law requires me to see i will never learn as much as i did from Dave. As a guy i love him and dont want him to be gone because there will just be a big hole missing in my life. The internet and life itself will not be the same.
Dave thank you so much for what you have done for me and so many others. Your legacy will always live on and you are a part of all of our hearts. May God take you or bring you back and continue your teaching on this earth.
Take it easy bro. Give God a taste of the sweetness.

anyone know of a way to maybe sign a giant get well e-card, that possibly one of his friends could take and read to him letting him know how many of us out here care about him?

Ever since I can remember (which is years back), PhreeX has always been one of the most knowledgable and valuable assets to this community. It's truly sad to see this happen to someone like him. It appears things are starting to look up, and hopefully they will continue that way. My heart goes out to the family and close friends.

To the man who's posts and writings I've enjoyed over the few years I've been here...I've got much respect! Glad to hear things are getting better, keeping my fingers crossed and a prayer in my heart.

I am so happy things are looking better....
PhreeX is still in my thoughts.....
I just hope one day he will get the chance to read all these post and understand that even though alot of us here have never met him, we are drawn together when one of 'us' is in trouble. Even though some of the people in this post have never been taught or given advice from him, we all know his name. If you ask anyone to name some of the most popular names from BlueLight, you will hear PhreeX. His name is instilled upon anyone who comes to BlueLight cause his wisdom he has shared carries on from bluelighter to bluelighter!
I look forward to hearing more good updates. Once he is at the state to see what is in front of him, and know what is in front of him... i hope someone will take this post in FULL and show it to him! I would like to think our prayers and thoughts have helped him this much... seeing all of us pull together will make his recovery that much easier.
Hang in there KID.

good luck man, i hope things pull through for you, in whatever way you want them to.

If phreex is going to be brain-damaged by this are we so sure we really want him to pull through? If he found life hard as it was, how is he going to find life as a brain damaged invalid?
Lets hope he comes through without winding up an invalid.

I've never spoken to Dave either. Just thought I'd say I'm sure he will make it.

I'm so happy for you Dave, I wish you a quick recovery, And I will pray for that too.
Unbelievable. This man absolutely amazes me to no end.
Thank you VERY much for the update Samantha, You have put my mind at ease.

remember the only problem with opiates is when you run out. i guess this was phreex's way of telling us that his stash was running low!

Oh God this is hopeful and joyful news.
After reading about Dave two nights ago, I told my husband how terribly sad this was, this young man was in deep trouble. We both prayed for a miracle. We both cried...I prayed that God would bring a miracle..please dear God let him continue to get healthy.
Much Peace To ALL..tears of JOY

assuming my plans to go to florida in 2 weeks all work out fine, i'd like to try to make a visit to him while i'm down there; though he probably has no idea who i am, since i've barely spoken to him once or twice, my name should be somewhat familiar. the idea of bringing a card or something showing how much everyone cares has already crossed my mind; i'm sure i'll run into more than enough blers who'd like to sign it as well.

yo, just another lil message from me, but good luck
and i know we are all anxiously awaiting some more good news

Oh my God, that is terrible news...
I never knew him personally, but have read many many of his posts. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family...this is truly a tragedy.
We need to stop with all this overdosing shit..it's getting to be too much..way too often.
Phreex, stay strong...you can get through this...peace to you brother.

I came back from a month hiatus to THIS.
Dave, I pray everything's gonna come through for you bro. Keep slapping nurses and opening your eyes and breathing for crying out loud. You're a fighter, always have been, so just keep doing it.
Good luck.
