Well hello there all my Bluelighter buddies!
I haven't posted in ages! Things are extremely hectic in my life lately. I'm in college full time and I'm also working full time, so I'm on the go seven days a week, week in - week out! I am exhausted and burned out! I'm getting to old for this kind of thing, but what can you do?!
The gear in Dublin is still weak. Although to talk to some people around Dublin you would think that the gear was good, but it is not. I have scored everywhere! I've scored in North Dublin, South Dublin, West Dublin, Dublin City Centre, County Dublin. I have even scored in Co. Kildare, Co. Meath, I travelled as far as Co. Louth and Co. Wexford, but the very same weak gear is been sold everywhere.
If I was to grade the gear that I was getting before the drought at
10 out of 10, then the gear been sold in Dublin now ranges from
3 out of 10 up to
5 out of 10 at the very best. 90% of the gear is
4 out of 10. Before the drought I used heroin every single day of my life without fail. But nowadays I hardly ever use, I just stick to my methadone script.
Nowadays, at most I get a half 8th once every two weeks, just to test the waters. But the dealers seem to have no shortage of customers. It is as if the drought has been long forgotten. The crappy gear that is available in Dublin is considered normal to many users now, they seem more than happy with it. 8( The gear been sold does hold off the Withdrawals quite well, but it doesn't get me stoned. So that is why I stick with my methadone.
Most heroin users over the age of 30 seem to be sticking with their methadone, and like me they test he waters every now and again. The people who score regularly seem to be a much younger crowd. I don't imagine the dealers are making as much money off them. The younger crowd seem to be happy enough to buy a €20 bag of gear every other day. Were the older crowd used to spend anything from €50 to €100 on gear every single day.
Most of my mates have more or less given up using, but they say that if the proper gear became available then the would start using regularly again. I feel the same way, I'm really glad that I don't spend a fortune on gear every day any-more, but I know if good gear became available then I wouldn't be able to stop myself from scoring.
That is the difference between the gear that is around now and the proper gear that was around before the drought, the gear that is around now is real take it or leave it type gear, not bothered either way. But with the proper gear that was around before the drought I didn't have a choice (at least that is how I felt) it was so good that I couldn't control my cravings. The gear was so good that I could think of nothings else besides the lovely stone I got off the gear.
I honestly don't think that the proper gear will ever become available in Ireland again. Too many people seem happy with the crappy weak gear......
Anyway I just popped in to say hello! I guess I felt like having a moan about the crappy gear as well! I'm so sick of getting texts about "10/10 gear." I find those tests insulting at this stage!

I hope everyone on here is doing well! I'm never on-line these days, I'm ether in college or in Work, so I never get a chance to post on BL. I took my first day off to-day in a months because my dog was sick. Poor little thing isn't well at all.
