Whether it's a self-enforced sabbatical or just not having the funds, it doesn't suck any less. But I hope it's the former because, even if you don't stop, your tolerance will go down and you'll need less. So it's a good ting :)

Just scored today. My guy's started doing £15 bags of reaaally lush stuff. Taste, smell, feel of the "smoke" and beatle are all lovely.
It's likely the stuff he said he'd be getting in soon. Anyhoo, I cannot complain at all! And he even comes to me during this chunk of snow :D

Tis good that yer not shooting! Even if it's purely because it's yer arms looking silly.
Smoking's a much better idea - I said to myself from day 1 that I would never resort to pinning and, here I am, god knows how many years, still just smoking (and snorting the odd line) :)

If you put more on the foil then yes - The plumes of "smoke" will be more.... condensed with the substance.
So yes, it should be a bigger hit but make sure you don't miss any of the plume as it'll just be more going down the pan.

And it's not like Morphine is used on the battle field's of the fighting in those regions as a painkiller when someone is injured is it?

Just spent an hour reading that thread and reminiscing. Oh those were the days! I remember New Years Day 2011, had 8 bags ready for me when I got back home, they all frazzled in my face stinking of gravy!

I remember my dealer saying at the end of oct 2010 nothing here wait till the end of the week ....got that deep heat smelling stuff. THen in december hooked up with a mate got proper pd stuff on the day we had loads of snow, took me 4 hours to drive 5 miles cos of traffic. ASfter that i was getting pukka gear up till now thro a whole new crew in a different area

I don't post here that often these days . Nothing personal this is my Home thread in BL i love it.

Reason is that all this stuff about pins & using is just very boring . I appreciate the harm reduction that goes on & if i can help i will but i've had these conversations a thousand times before.

Stay safe everyone & don't take the gear for granted , it's dangerous if you don't use it properly /safely .

Kinda agree with \brimz - works are works find one you like and use it - in 20 years i never had a pin come out or any other issues always had the ones that came in there own lickle packet.

It is hard to give precise advice without actually being with you & seeing your veins . I can say that whatever you choose , make sure it is a new one as you only get one set of veins .

I agree it's harder to register with finer-gauge needles than bigger ones. Was using 3ml 25G last week to shoot ketamine and registered and hit every time without a problem even though I was off my tits, could never have pulled it off with microfines. I find the main problem with BD microfines is that they don't have a replaceable cap, so you don't have that little vacuum between the cap and the barrel that fills with blood and tells you "Bingo!". That plus a fatter needle just generally seems to make registering, pulling back and shooting much easier because of more suction.
Also re-using a 25G once or twice isn't as much of an issue; finer needles get blunt really, really quickly and tear your veins up properly.

All things considered though I think I'm doing my veins a favour by going to a bit more hassle using a finer gauge than punching great big fuck-off holes in them with 25Gs. I would normally not even use 27Gs. Even though I only shoot up three times a year (roughly) I still want my circulation to be as good in five/ten years as it is now. If I had a vein die on me I'd be fucking pissed with myself, just out of principle.

The ideal syringes (which I could only find in the south of Italy) would be 1cc 29G with replaceable tips. That little space between the needle and the barrel really is very helpful.

Yeah, once I started having problems with the 1ml microfines, I discovered that I had much more success using 2ml barrels with the orange push on spikes. Apart from the fact you could dig deeper, I found it was easier to identify the blood when you pulled back because it filled the little space between the end of the syringe and the 'collar' of the needle, before contaminating yer gear. Hard to explain, but it did seem to work. However, shoving spikes twice the size of what you were used to in veins that were rapidly becoming fucked, wasn't really in the best interests of HR (this is why I wish I had discovered BL before I lost my veins)...

pontifex01 I hear you my friend! I cannot manage to register with those fine gauge 1ml pins i have no idea why but to me its like tryin to hit a vein with an eyelash!

People wonder why i use the 2ml ones (the blue coloured needle) when i shoot in my forearm & not the groin but i plug in & register first time every time & i dont find them painful at all. Also sometimes i'll shoot half a 20 bag i.v then do the rest in a shot i.m as even tho theres no rush & it takes like 10 mins to kick in it carries the high much further.

I've had some fantastic smack tho as of late, v pleasant rush/warm glow, then my face gets rather itchy! Might have to get a box of diphenhydramine next time.

That's a point, i have a question; is mixing diphenhydramine with H a good combo??? I've used it plenty with opium poppy tea, first time just to combat the nausea & itchyness but soon discoveered the synergy is shockingly good.

Right now i'm in the habit (i'm only using 3 times a month TOPS, rest of the time for recreation i'll buy 100ml of methadone to add to the 30 i'm scripted & mix with temazepam) of popping a 5mg valium, maybe 10 mg along with 10/20 of temazepam (not too safe i know but my benzo tolerance is high, i never use them excessively & never ever mix the two with alcohol) to add to the gouch/ nod whatever but i'm wondering if i didnt do this if i'd get a better rush off the smack (without benzos first). I mean obviously i've shot up without benzos before but this latest gear is like the 2nd best i've had since 2007, so i dont kow why i've not tried it without to get the real feel of the stuff.

Had a nice 100mg dose of methadone this afternoon & i've been sailing all day.
 
Shooting heroin after taking 100ml of methadone is like pissing in the wind - the meth binds to your mu receptors and you wont feel zip from the smack. Even low levels of methadone will effect the gear thgink of it like having 100 cups and 50 are full of 'done so only the other 50 will take the heroin. Anywhere over about 80ml/mgs and you wont feel a thing. You need to lay off for a min of 24h longer if you can to get the full power of the gear.

IM'ing street gear is pretty dangerous in terms of getting abcesses and getting them deep in the muscle is no laughing matter. I would only IM using a wheel filter - which i have never done, when my veins dissapeared it was back to the foil.

methadone starts to saturate receptors at 40mg upwards. i found 60mg and up would reduce the high from gear greatly.
