European Heroin Discussion v We like noise, it's our choice (v.17)

Whenever I have not been able to get a hit and it has congealed in the works I've squirted it up the rusty. It's better there than down the sink or bog.
Can't really say if I felt something off it but it stopped the rattle cos I did a 12hr stint on a flagging job with a mate and was ok all the time.
hm thats what i thought, so adding some crushed up vit c tablets to the solution should increase the likelyhood of it working?
I am hopefully buying a good amount of brown, not expecting it to be 'good' stuff just wanting to get some practise with smoking it. I also really enjoy the taste, brings its own recreational element.

No, there's all kinds of other stuff in vit c tablets. The stuff u want if u don't want to go to needle exchanges is ascorbic acid from holland and barnet, but its pricey from them robbing cunts, last time I ended up lifting a tub cos it was the price of a bag and that was donkeys years ago
Boots near me used to do it, cit as well in the home brew section, but years ago the manager of the local drugs centre told them it was used for gear and they stopped selling it. Me personally, I go to the local home brew shop and buy cit, when I walk through the door they just reach under the counter straight away for it. Only 50p for 50 gram

the kit has got a lot better from 15 months ago . bought a few teenths over the past week and it is nearly back to the way it was before the drought started ,but even at that it was never brilliant . lets hope it just keeps getting better and better

There is definately more MAM in tar. However, when speaking about south american heroin, one usually refers to #4 heroin from Colombia. It got there strating in the 1990s I believe when seeds and technical knowhow were imported from SE Asia. At anyrate, this is the gear that predominates East of the Mississippi river in the markets of places like NYC, New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, ect... I have been told, though, that the color sanges from white to brown though the powder can't be smoked.
Tar heroin is technical North American (produced in Mexico)and is produced using crude techniques. I doubt that the opium is refined to morphine base and glacial acetic acid is often used in lieu of acetic anhydride.
Good tar in my experience has a floral but bitter medicine like taste. I think it is somewhat underated- some can be fairly decent.
Anyway, Nat Geo finally had their London episode. That was somewhat of a letdown from my perspective. The 2 drugs focused on were cocaine and cannabis. They said that cocaine use is way up and it is common upper and middle class. Cannabis by contrast was carecterized as a working class drug. Apparently the UK is the cocaine capital of Europe or the world as a percentage basis. Supply lines go to west Africa and then on to spain. From there to the UK.
There was very little to no mention of heroin, MDxx, mephedrone, ect.
But one thing that is interesting is that as the colombian cartels try to find new supply routes, #4 colombia might find its why to the UK. I had been wondering about this during the drought. Plus production in Burma is up.
From the documentary it does seem that London is a vibrant and beautiful city, from what I could see. Anyway, have to see it again because I have some questions.
Another interesting aside, when Colombian drugs go to the Eastern USA they usually go via Puerto Rico, because once inside the Island territory their are no borders to cross and their is alot of corruption there. Why mules go through Dominica or other places is anyones guess.
Alot of coke in the past destined for The Netherlands used current or former Island territories like Aruba or Saint Maarten as a way station.
Spain has displaced Amsterdam as the hub of cocaine importation and it and not the UK I believe (though I could be mistaken) has the the most users per capita.

Pontifex, really, really interesting post. Didn't realize you were italian. I snorted #4 once brought over from a Girl i knew from boston and it got me prety high. Was just starting my career. But I know what you mean about the "floral" taste- that you get with real good tar- kinda opium ish. 40%- that is the potency of really good tar. When I first started it was cut with different kinds of sugar. Then they started substituting a nasty tasting stale sugar with a chemical taste- this was about the summer of 94 when dope was at its low point. As tar became sodter and the quality imporved, a pronounced vinegar taste was a sign of quality. Then as it improved further- a floral hint, bitter medicine taste was a sign of good quality. Good tar is undertated in my opinion.
A story about the sugary tar. When we were in the early stages of our habit- about 93-94 the quality was decreasing over the summer- like the great drought scale. My now wife and I took a trip to Maui. WE brought ballons of dope to last us the 10 days. We weren't that sick because the dope was not that good and having a relatively new habit weren't that strung out. Anyway, we had sent money to a friend on the mailnad that was supposed to fed ex it. I would check every day. Our last day there, we took the famous road to hana on the tropical side. We had 2 caps of MDMA. It was real- mad by a friend of mine that was a real chemist working for a chemical ferm utilizing isosafrole obtained from work as well as other reagents utilizing the protocal in PIKHAL. He analyzed it to make sure what he had. After 3 days of no dope and raging hromones it took us like atlesat 2 hour to leave the hotel- back then my wife had the body of a playmate. Anyway, after our road was washed out and the rain subsided enough for us to turn around, we turned around and drove to Mckena beach- a dry desert like beach on the other side of the Island. The E was mellow we somehow managed to have all to ourselves. It connected us at a deep level lying on that warm dry empty beach, naked (although I don't know if it was a nude beach back then.) Then all these bogey borders came out of nowhere and our Rolling was coming to an end anyway. This was our last day there so I expected the dope not to be there- to have somehow been intercepted. When I walked in I would look under the door because that where they would usually slide it, but then my girlfriend saw it on the hotel table.
We smoked one and a half ballons straight off. Sugar was a bigger part of the economy then than now but at that time in august the air had the aroma of burning sugar, probably burning down the sugar cane plantations or processing them. At any rate that smell pervaded everything and smelled alot like the good sugary dope we used to get a hold of. Guess what the ballons had in them- great sugary dope like the type we used to get which was bizarre that the whole Island smelled that way. We went back to baseline wrapped in an nice opiate blanket. Anyway, I digress.
I commend you for staying clean for 4 months in Thailand. Although, the dope maybe worldclass, careful- friends that had been in the vietnam war used to tell stories about practically ODing on a matchead of snorted SE Asian dope. Also the laws are severe. During the 2003 drug war like 3,000 people were murdered, its estimated that 80% of the people were Yaba addicts not dealers.
Its interesting that different dope has different mechanism of action.
But anyway, congradts, anyway Bangkok must be an amazing, imteresting place. Don't know enough about the scene there but maybe they have OTC benzos to help you sleep.

Well im off the hook for what could have been a bit of a bugger .....after getting in a muddle over doc appointments (i thought it was this week not next) I dropped from 60mg to 25mg of done with enough for a bare minimum next week but my bessie mate saved the day with some oc80's which came about an hour ago - couldnt stop my self from snorting a 1/2 and I have managed to get 30 quid together for a few bags (I had a cheque for 16 quid from august thats just been in my desk so put it in the bank mon and it clears today and i didnt realise i had a tenner in there already so I will be nice and sorted till wed when i get my next monthly script and hopefully that week I will get some money from will (executors are a funny bunch esp when they are family and know youir past - i.e dribs and drabs and not a stonking great pile.
I have already decided that if i lose my job in March i will go to Porto as its seems to be the nearest and cheapest place to go to guarantee decent dope and I will have a decent chuink of dosh as i will get the equivelent of 4 months wages with redundancy and spend a week holed up in a room smoking myself silly - up for a trip Brimz? you'll have to tell me all about the place as never been
Re asian dope many moons ago a mate brought back a tidy amount and wanted me to help market the product as he had no connections as it was the 1st time i had ever tried it I snorted about .1 and it was almost like a hit, warm belly rushes after 20seconds and a beautiful stone. I ended up with a big bag of it and it was so cool just to be able to poor the powder in to a rig suck up some water and it would just completly dissolve but so very morish if i were in the far east I would never come back (thats why i never went in my youth as I knew what would happen ) back then friends that were going out came back with tales of buying 'straws' of CW which had a g in them for 2-3 dollors but also of finding at least 1 od a week some from people that were putting a pile on top of weed and smoking it thro bongs ....

its normal prices and most places its a little less . i would defo say its the same quality as before the drought (most places)
still need to watch what im doing and not get baw deep in it again . im determened to get my driving licence , so i need to keep giving clean samples when i see my drug worker . its hard cause iv been away from it for so long and just want to get mad wi it .
