Hi!
I decided to register here as I have found some very useful information during some pretty tough times. Let's just say that I went from 240mg of Oxycontin and 180mg of Oxycodone to nothing. Cold turkey-my doc's desision.
All in all, it would be nice to meet new people who have had similar experiences! I live in Canada if that makes a difference 8)

SWIM is looking into a second doc. Not the easiest thing when living in a small town. SWIM HAS pretty much tried everything for the pain and nothing has worked, have never abused THE meds... just wish SWIM knew of a way to could get more! WD from oipiods is like living in hell and every minute seems like three hrs. terrible. especially with a large family to take care of!

as captain.heroin says, use of 'swim' is prohibited here at bl. it offers no legal protection whatsoever and it is, for most, simply annoying.

While we're not here to help you FIND or USE drugs, maybe we can help you with which ONE is the BEST to use in a certain circumstance. :D

What's your DOC? What do you like? :)

I find a 2nd drug of choice - for any hard drug user - should be cannabis, unless you can't tolerate it.
 
I also want to apologize for the "SWIM" ref. I had confused Bluelight with another site.
Futhermore, I am absolutely not here trying to "score", I apologize if any of my post came across that way. As a matter of fact, I am three weeks clean from 240mg of Oxtcontin and 180mg of Oxycodone daily. The worst of the WD have passed but the cravings are most definitely still there...!
 
^all good! it is NOT a problem. it takes a while to figure things out! that is why we have NMI and why we encourage new members to take advantage of it as you did :D

CONGRATS on that 3 weeks clean! That is no easy feat and you should be VERY proud! =D

I don't tend to go for the cannabis as it makes me sleepy. I like stimulants, things that give you that opioid hear rush and happy feeling...

We all go through an initial adjustment period. Sort of a rite of passage,if you will! ;)
 
Welcome! Since you live in Canada I would suggest buying Tylenol 4, not at all comparable to Oxycodone but it's an opiate at least.
