May you lay, serene in state
comforted by the hand dealt by fate
Free of mortality's weight.

May you be granted reprieve
While we remain to grieve
The joy that
Your eyes weaved.

Losing a grandparent is so hard. I am very sorry for your loss. What you wrote is quite beautiful. Did you read this at his memorial or funeral?
