Hello

I would like to present you our project which goes as follows:

We are creating an interactive map of Europe which will host all the required information regarding drug laws in selected country. All the info will be displayed in easy and understandable fashion.

Imagine something like this:

When you visit the site a map will appear. Clicking or hovering over a country will display a frame with basic information about current legal situation there (possession fines, big amount sentences, overall status summed up as some sort of a score and so on) Maybe even coloring the very easygoing countries like Portugal with green and let's say Hungary a deep red so the user get's an idea of the situation there. Link in the frame would then lead to the country profile where all other important information would be gathered.

As everyone knows laws constantly change and this will be no easy task keeping everything up to date. However we think a project like this is very useful for drug users traveling abroad, specially in the summer festival season. Currently to gather information about laws in certain country one must search through not so appealing governmental sites and browse through 100's of pages - often in foreign languages. We are planing to simplify things a bit.

We are looking for people who can help us develop this :) Basically everyone can help if they can point us to the official governmental institutions or their web sites where legitimate information can be obtained from their countries.

Also if anyone has an idea what should the site be called please come forward :) www.ANYIDEAS?.net

We are more than open for any suggestions, recommendations and so on :) currently we have some data but are missing a lot so any help is appreciated :)

Thank you very much :) It would also be nice if you could tell us how is it in practice? We know that something are laws in theory but in practice it can be a whole different story.

What happens if they catch you smoking a joint or sniffing a line? Do they sometimes let you go?
