Etomidate

Guys drop the pettyness. Hammilton, don't bother arguing. It just wastes thread space. Shiberu, take some time to evaluate all Bluelighters before running off at the mouth. There are plenty of people who are willing to help you here. Seriously, its just a thread on an adrenal agonist- nothing to get too excited about :) Both of you are being stupid and taking this thread off topic. As did I temporarily.

An other alpha2 agonist, tizanidine, is quite recreational at higher doses [~5x the therapeutic dose). It induces a dreamy, very relaxed state, not unlike opioids. Quite nice and pleasant experience!

I have done some tizanidine in combination with midazolam. IV both. It's like a million volt horse kicking your brain.

Right, stop the bickering or it'll be slapped wrusts all 'round

dread - is being kicked by a million volthorse a good or bad thing (I've heard IV methamphetamine described as being like a sharp blow to the back of your head)

Well, actually, no, nothing of the sort. It's a really cool GABAergic. Perhaps about 20-40 minutes longer acting and it'd be incredible. Totally different ball park.

Hammilton, don't bother arguing.

Wasn't being understood, and decided against.

edit: wow, that first post of yours, FnB, even with the correction has screwed everyone up. I'd have thought everyone would have read the pink, perhaps they're just too manly.

^I read the pink but was mainly referring to whoever you were arguing with- I thought they were interested in an adrenal agonist.

So correction: its simply a thread on a GABAergic, nothing to get too excited about. Actually, my curiousity is firmly piqued now. I like GABA. :)

Depends. If you enjoy experiences of the sort, good.

I'd say it's as close to an opioid nod you can get without actually taking opioids... And gives a better "rush" than some opioids.

I second dreads experience with tizanidine, it seems to build a tolerance quickly, and taken orally, doesnt reach anything like peak effect of rectal/nasal admin, but 6mg quite knocked me on my arse for a good few hours.

I'm on it now, actually, and I do believe, that if the 3 bottles of wine don't get me first, I am about to pass ou...........*thudding noise*

which of the two ITizanidne or midazolam) or was it only the combo? ^

On it's own, tizanidine isn't very recreational - it makes you drowsy, and it's actually hard to move with that level of muscle relaxation (I'm speaking of intravenous tizanidine) and there's no euphoria or anything to make up for it.

Now, midazolam is good on it's own, and gives a nice rush when IV:d. But tolerance develops rapidly, and on higher doses the amnesiac effects can get quite annoying - what's the point in taking a substance if you can't remember anything about it? It's like it never happened... also the things you might do during those blackouts sometimes make no sense at all.

But when you combine the two... the tizanidine potentiates the effects of the midazolam, and they synergize beautifully. A good dosage is 1mg tizanidine with 15mg midazolam. Then you get a nice sedated feeling with euphoria, but without the side effects of higher midazolam doses. You still might nod off though.
