Etizolam Legality In Thailand

Guys,

I'll be away to Thailand for Christmas and New year, and myself and the lady will be taking some etizolam over with us, purely to ease the flights and a few hangovers.

Does anyone know the legal status out there? Of course I know you can get vallies OTC easily, but I'd rather not take any if I can help it.

Will be taking about x12 1mg for both of us.

Good idea? Bad idea? Experiences?

Put your pills in your carry on bag along with your usual meds - they are not illegal!

Your going from the UK, check your route - if your going through a dodgy route, take with you the minimum what you need(carry on) and put the rest in your luggage. When in Thailand you can buy what you want from some pharmacies (not as easy as it was) - leaving you will have no problem, but again remember your route - if your taking a few strips / split them between bags / spread them out a bit / put a few in each of your carry ons etc.

PLEASE remember that - because it says Valium on the packet, that does not mean its Valium! In the pharmacy - simply ask for valium or ambien or your DOC - they may so no, just ask them what else do they have? If they say nothing ask them where to buy it from - if they ignore you move to the next one.

We walked into a pharmacy and the chemist was asleep on the floor :D - I woke her up and she had no idea what she was doing ? Got a shit load of cheap meds that night ;)
 
Doesnt Thailand have a reputation for being very strict with drug laws and very severe with its' penalties for importing/"smuggling"/possesion?

My apologies if im mistaken, dont mean to cause any unececcesary concern.

I can see the sense of having your benzos next to your legit scripts though, i once had some coppers come into my house regarding an unrelated incident, i had forgotten that i had left some etiz blisters out in the open, very luckily i had been to the chemists recently and had the etiz placed next to the legit script/chemists bag, so even though the copper picked the etiz up and read the name out quizically, he didnt make any issue about them or start asking any awkward questions.

Christ, I've been really lucky several times with various things, got away with some things that could have very easily gone very wrong.8(

Any links to confirm this? Not that I doubt Mr Bearlove

Also Im flying to Thailand soon via Qatar (2hr stop over)...................Any ideas on legality there also?
 
You won't find any solid confirmation for what he says because drug laws have been tightened up a lot over there in the last decade and it is illegal to sell benzos otc (afaik) but he's right, most will sell them to you. You certainly wont get a strange look for asking.

Personally I wouldn't try taking any sort of random blank pills in a baggy through any airport irrespective of the legality of it just because of the potential for it to cause hassle/miss flights etc if you get questioned and held up. You get pulled at the airport in the UK with a baggy of etizolam they're not just going to take your word at face value when you point out it's legal.
 
pfffff. i wouldnt bother. unless theure 100% legal in all countries you.pass theough. theyte in blister and youre carrting with othe lefot meds like aspiron.
whyll yoi.say if theybask whar. remember theyre prescrition only.in.osome.sountries.
its notreally worth.it imo. id chance the little samiky owned pharms and go nts in them

I'd be pretty weary flying through Qatar... you should stay air side (I think?) as its a transfer so shouldn't be a problem but if your connecting flight is cancelled you may have to leave the airport and go back through security which is where problems could arise.
 
Can't you just take the etiz before boarding the flight to ease anxiety? Then go and buy some valium in a local pharmacy as soon as you get there?

I would strongly advice against travelling with unscripted pills through the Gulf and landing in Thailand. The legal consequences could be very harsh, not scare mongering, there are Westeners doing years of prison in the UAE for benzos and codeine.
 
^ This is true. Do not take anything if you are flying through Dubai.

If you are flying direct through Europe, you will be fine. Toss them in your toiletry bag. Also, you can (as of a year ago when I was there) still buy benzos OTC if you do a little digging. The pharmacies on Khao San have been cracked down on but the southern islands, esp Phi Phi are very lax with drugs (bars openly sell spliffs and nitrous balloons). Go into the pharmacy and tell the lady that you are taking a 12 hour train and you need something to knock you out. That is what I did and they gave me 100 xanax in blisters for less baht than a blowjob.
 
I had trouble with prescribed meds going through Bahrain (via Kathmandu return Dehli). Thankfully I had my repeat prescription note with docs details on it etc. I had some codeine in my hand luggage as well, but it was ok. Still, not great to be pulled out and all your stuff questioned in such a place.

Went with Emirates via Dubai to Thailand and only got stopped on the way home with a "spiky" gift purchase seen as a potential weapon :sus:, they never looked at my meds but I'd not risk it.

Take before you lift off and buy when you are there. Not worth the worry.

I ve got a couple of blister packs of consern etizest. But I guess id best not risk it.

My Uk to Doha flight is during the day so it was really going to be used for the 2nd leg of the journey. Plus I'm a shite sleeper so was planning on using them in Thailand also, but i'll mooch about the pharmacies and hopefully get something to help sleep.

Hate being tired though.

I often ask that too :) He has so much to impart about Bangkok I feel entitled haha. I was last in Thailand in 2006.

Unfortunately though, I already threw a bag of 6 in my hold luggage and had four in my pocket. Silly decision.

Though once on the plane, I read about E Cigs being illegal in the UAE, and realized if they were that strict about them, I'd obviously be totally buggered if they caught me with a bag of random pills. So I ended up binning the etiz in my pocket, and crossed my fingers that my hold luggage made it though. Luckily it did. I'm also glad my E Cig gear made it though, because I've read loads of stories about them being confiscated. We we're only in transit for an hour, but still went through the security scanners. On a plus note, I had some cheeky vapes on the flight, and no one was the wiser.

We hired a bike today and cruised down to the beach, got some good footage on the go pro, ate a huge lobster for lunch, now back at the hotel and away for a wee snooze.

Going to Phi Phi island on the 26th for a couple of days diving.

Anyway, Happy Christmas dudes! Will post a few photos soon.
 
It sounds amazing. Phi Phi Islands. I was not successful in regards to diving though. I´m always more rapid than I should have..
 
I fished a tuna in Phi Phi island ages ago, took me more than half an hour to get him on board, struggled a lot. We barbecued it on the beach, was great, washed down with Tiger beer.
