Benzos Etizolam interactions with Seroquel XR?

Hey, as my doctor refused to give me benzos for the treatment of my HPPD, I decided to get 30x 1mg Etizolam and give it a go my self.. I want to do this right and try and avoid WD symptoms. So, how does it interact with Seroquel XR 50mg? I take my seroquel at around 10pm normally..

What is the half life of Etizolam? short/medium/long? would I have to take 2mg a day? one in the morning and one in the afternoon? What would be the best way to avoid WD symptoms? Maybe take 2mg everyday for 7 days then cut down to 1mg a day until it finishes??

You wanna know something so basic, you really do have the tools ya know ;) The search engine is thy friend. Taking 2mg/day for seven days (the more you spread them apart the better, but I wouldn't take one with your dose of Seroquel unless you really just need to pass the fuck out), then cutting down to one 1mg/day for two weeks sounds reasonable enough.

How long do you really NEED to use benzos in your treatment of HPPD? One week of using 2mg/day isn't gonna cause any w/d symptoms to speak of, maybe minor insomnia at the worst (well, assuming you don't have a recent history using benzos, which it doesn't sound like from what you've told us). I mean, if your treatment with them needs to last three weeks, one week @2mg/day and two at 1mg/day in its own right shouldn't give you many w/d issues to speak of, especially as you have the Seroquel for when you stop taking the benzo.

The only interactions bewteen your Seroquel and Etizolam is going to be extreme sedation.

And the obvious last question: Why doesn't your doctor want you using benzos?
 
Thanks, I normally do my research then make a thread to clarify things lol :) well for the treatment of HPPD ive read some have been on it for 6 months or more, however I have zero interest in being on a benzo for more than 3/4 weeks! I want to try it now because I have exams coming up and my HPPD is really intense at the moment and it reduces my concentration levels drastically. So, I figured the benzo would reduce it by at least 40% then ill come off it and hopefully I would see SOME difference!! not much from one month but better than nothing..

Well, because I abused drugs before she thinks im going to abuse the benzo!
