My ******** is on 2400mg of Gabapentin per day (generic Neurontin), and has been for years.
If he takes any more than 2400mg of Gabapentin (say 2800mgs) for more than one day, he turns into a really dumb *******. (If he takes any less, he turns into a nervous/depressed *******.) So he stays at 2400mg.
He's noticed that whenever he ads Etizolam, he feels great that day, but then turns into a really dumb ****** for many, many days after that, even without taking any more Etizolam!
The only thing that counteracts this is if he takes tons of vitamin D and Calcium, which makes me think that the combo interacts with (blocks?) glutumate?? And counteracting this effect with vit D & Calcium makes him a very anxious ***** for many days after that. Benzos, by the way, do not produce this same effect, at least in my *****.
Anyhow I've read anecdotal reports (posts) of people noticing the same effect with this combo (the moron part, not the counteracting effect of vit D & Calcium).
BTW, I do understand that Etizolam should clear fairly rapidly, so none of this makes a ton of sense, except that, apparently, Etiolzam's metabolite alpha-hydroxyetizolam clears far less rapidly.
Can anyone shed any light on this? What's going on with my *****? He still has Etizolam sitting around, and enjoys it (for that one day), but is hesitant to use it. All thoughts/responses very much appreciated.
