I'm aware that Etizolam is technically not a benzodiazepine but rather a thienodiazepine. The difference being that the benzene ring has been replaced by a thiophene ring.

Does anyone know if taking Etizolam will create a positive reaction to benzodiazepines in a standard urinalysis drug screen?

Unfortunately, I do not have the means to test this myself and providing a positive drug screen would have severe consequences for me at this present time.

I understand that discussions about drug testing are not allowed but this is not merely about "how to beat a drug test". I am trying to find an answer to this scientific question which I have attempted to research but to no avail.

Any help or information would be much appreciated!

I've been tested while on etizolam and the test was actually really faded. It seemed like it detected tracers of it but not fully , however , I was able to have it passed off as a negative by convincing the person who read the results. Pretty sure it depends on the drug test brand
