Hey I was just wondering, as theres no info online about mixing these two drugs.. Does anyone know if its ok to use Etizolam while on adderall? I ask this because

Etizolam is a 'different' kind of benzo (if ya know what I mean, check wikipedia.org)

Its just parts like this from wiki make me at least a little interested in the safety: "In EEG tests of healthy volunteers Etizolam showed some characteristics of tricyclic antidepressants.[4]"

I just know that
"Adderall
acts as a potent dopamine reuptake inhibitor and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor."

Then I read on the Adderall wikipedia.org site:

"Tricyclics and related compounds (tricyclic antidepressant — See SNRIs and SSRIs. Possible potentiation of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine related drug effects. The combination of tricyclic and amphetamine compounds / other direct acting sympathomimetics has been associated with increased sympathetic action. Adjustments to dose may be required. Concurrent use not generally recommended due to interaction between direct acting sympathomimetics such as amphetamine and tricyclics. Indirect acting sympathomimetics may have decreased efficacy when combined with tricyclics (tricyclic blockade may inhibit the action of some indirect acting sympathomimetics)."

1st of all does this^^ even apply to the Etizolam sense some characteristics of tricyclic antidepressants.
[ COLOR="DimGray"]☼[/COLOR] Though I don't totally understand all of that ^^^ But the fact that Etizolam showed some characteristics of tricyclic antidepressant.. Could some explain if I should even be worried about this mix: Etizolam + Addereall 10mg IR- Blue Tabs)

Or am I just looking too deep into this?

basically after all the info i've come up with about it comes down to 1 simple question: Is it safe to take Etizolam and Adderall at the same time (mixing)???Is it possible the tricyclic antidepressant thig is basically nothing to worry about?

thanks for your help if you decide to help me out.

It should be, the differences between this and more traditiona benxos don't affect the pharmacolgy all that much, and the use of benzos to come down of stims or help with the nervousness is quite common.

Yes for other benzo's I see no problems. But the reason I ask if Etizolam is ok to mix with Adderall is because of that "etizolam some characteristics of tricyclic antidepressants." Like wtf does that mean anyway? oh yeah plus its a thienodiazepine, if that means anything..

I've been on the tricyclic Imipramine and taken Adderall before and I can't say there was any difference I noticed.

So Im assuming no one that has read this thread yet has ever taken Etizolam & Adderall

together at the same time... I just like researching every substance I come across. So sense

Etizolam is a thienodiazepine so its already a little different then most other benzos out

there, And the fact of the Etizolam has showed some characteristics of "tricyclic

antidepressant."

And I just didn't know if it's safe? but it seems like it should be. shall do more research 1st.

Anyone else have any input that know a thing or two about etizolam and adderall?

Tramadol + Etizolam

Does anyone know if there is any dangerous interaction between these two? Its just the etizolam wikipedia.org article that scares me saying Etizolam has like Tricycle Antidepressant effects...or whatever

I guess not enough people have considered these combinations. It would be coo if someone smart could help me out with these questions!

Currently on 90mg adderall ir and about 1.5mg etizolam and 1mg flunitrazepam. The etizolam has been great the past few days when used with adderall, all peripheral side effects are squelched, there's a dual feeling of strong motivation/exchiliration when doing and to do things, however that energy also feels like it is boosting my increased sociability, I feel very peaceful but also intrigued by things, so there's much less of the benzos dulling effect going on. Oh also my libido feels normal againa and actually healthy, I've been on subs like a year. Along with other mess and have had almost no sex drive most of the time.

As someone who is rxd daily clonazepam addy and sub I find etizolam extremely more euphoric than kpin. It has elements of diazepam in some of its effects but much less subtle. Late at night etizolam or possibly flurazepam (not sure I had used the dalmane a little earlier and then etizolam I think. Dunno how long between I dosed, but I took my subs too and I was hardcore nodding and actually euphoric. I ended up finally blacking out on my couch while I was smoking a bowl of that cp ### cannabinoid I just got to try. That stuff is most like real thc IMO/IME. I don't know where ppl find etizolam, I was scouring the web for it a while back saw it as RC but then it vanished then I saw it in blister packs but the site was pricey. I thankfully saw a friend of mine who has a japanese girl staying for a bit and she had a pharmacy fulls foreign mess. I. Got a buncha flunitrazepam(rohypnol), flurazepam(dalmane) and etizolam (Y-DP). Im pretty damn happy :D

ime.

The study that the quote on the tricyclic antidepressant-like effects of etizolam is in Italian, but it seems that is more of a general statement about what the end effects of etizolam are, not that there is a mechanism of action shared uniquely between etizolam and tricyclics.

Just because it says and I quote:

In EEG tests of healthy volunteers Etizolam showed some characteristics of tricyclic antidepressants.[4]

It doesn't mean it's an antidepressant like TCA's.

Here's a quote from temazepam's article:

An opioid mechanism of action may play a role in some of the pharmacological properties of temazepam.[28]

It doesn't mean that temazepam has any opioid like effects.

Btw I get drug tested, and im rxd benzos and adderall. The drug test iincludes TCAs. Figured it'd be worth mentioning, etizolam doesn't set off any flags for tca's. As for it having antidepressant qualities, I can see that being plausible. http://www.slschofield.com/medicine/psychiatric_drugs_chart.html. this link shows apparently clonazepam and alprazolam both effect serotonin to an extent. I found a few other links about serotonin and kpins. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7689737. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/520416
